Do you think we have become just a tad cynical over our current plight.

I hasten to add it's nothing new for us so maybe just the norm, business as usual, same shiite different day.

But it is something new for us as we are normally moaning about all the players that we have missed out on but the good news is that we still have that pleasure to come

How many defeats in a row will our new man get before th axe fall ?
FdB got 4.
There is an awful lot of work to be done in a very short time. This is clearly poor management of the situation. But the situation is now where it is due to ignoring it for so long.
The whole indecision with Roy drifted on and on. In the end Roy made the decision.
D vision making is a problem at our club.

What indecision? No-one knows what went on, who made the decision and when and anything else is just guesswork

Roy did a fantastic job in terms of doing what it said on the tin; keeping us in the PL. However, his brand of football bored me s***less and by the end of last season, watching one turgid performance after another, I was seriously wondering how much more I could take.

Some of my happiest days watching Palace were in the old Third Division. I want to see entertaining football at Selhurst; I don't much care who we play. Yeah, of course, I'd rather we were in the PL but not if the grim performances of recent seasons are the price we have to pay to be there.

So the present situation, hopeless as it is (no manager, stripped-down squad) fills me with optimism. I have no idea what we're going to get come August, but it'll be a hell of a lot more interesting of a ride than the drek we've endured in recent seasons. We're exciting again because who knows what's coming next. That's enough for me to be going on with. I'm really not sure I could have tolerated another season of Royball, with all due respect to the man.

Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God.

Amen to that, Syd. My thoughts exactly.
