It would appear that the youth set up was key to his descision to come and the fact that the team needs a rebuild also seems to appeal to him. Overall, I like to see managers that want to be here long term and build something. If Vieira can do that or at least keep us were we are now, then I will be happy. Various figures have been bandied about with some adding that the sum includes wages and others that it includes Zaha sale funds but no-one outside the inner sanctum really knows

Lads NO club ever reveals it's real transfer kitty for fear of being held to ransom. Far better if we put on the 'poor mouth' and wheel and deal a bit eg take a good player we can't afford right now on a loan fee with option to buy like Mateta.

No manager will please everyone. Vierira was obviously not first choice and he is a relative novice at top level management. That said, he has a big profile in football and will command respect among players until he does somethng to change that.

Let's hope we have a new manager bounce for the opening fixtures because they are very tough.
