In general the left don't read news that's critical of the consequences of their politics. Of those that do they are scared to say anything for fear of the name calling.

Gross. Should be banned since it's clearly not done with any medical need in mind. As you rightly say, doctors should be struck off for going along with such a humiliating and degrading 'test'.

Mark Carberry was totally over the top saying that OR can't 'be rehabilitated'. Of course he can.

What is interesting about this story is how it is initially highlighted as a practice that occurs amongst the populace generally. You have to read a few more paragraphs in to see that it is a problem specific to a particular community/their religious view.

I have no idea what your first sentence is about LOL.

The fires are in the South, near Larnaca. I live in The Turkish North, occupied/liberated by the Turks (depending on what your opinion is). Hence no offer of help from Erdogan - yet. Although it would be a good PR stunt to do so and try to occupy the moral high ground over the Greeks.
