As I suggested. I'm all for enforcing rules that maintain the civility of these boards, even if some on here try the patience of the most saintly.
I was refering to the wider issue of unwritten censorship and vilifiation which is a common occurance in 2021.
Just before I wrote this, I saw a typical example where Mel Gibson was allegedly photographed saluting Donald Trump at a speech and has now been rounded on by the new fascists.
Nothing to do with this site, but a good example of the lunacy that is creeping into everything.

Tom is black. all through that thread he was trying to explain how he didn't think racism was as bad as is being portrayed. A black guy being shut down by a white guy about racism. Tom lived it in his youth. How can a white guy question his integrity on the subject. A white guy who lives in his own white enclave somewhere in whogivesas***sville. The post was after midnight ffs.
Now either mods are s*** scared of the topic or Tom was reported.

It's hard to step back sometimes from the barage on that particular thread.
All started by an overtly racist tweet which was designed to cause division, probably in the knowledge he would be backed up by the usual suspects.
Tom asked many reasonable questions, to which people refused to/couldn't answer.
They carried on accusing him of being a racist, despite his ethnicity, and he snapped. Don't blame him at all.
Appears this site allows racism if it's in one direction and any stand against it is met with howls of derision by a select group of ultra woke poster's.
On a yellow already and don't really care about another.
If the mods had had the spine to red the original provocative racist post we'd still have Tom.
As I said an utter disgrace.
