Maybe mate, but the difference in cost of the safe cladding and the killer stuff was £6k, who ever chose the cheaper option in a millions pound job needs to never work again-and be banned from claiming on the brew! Yes, i was glad you asked how much 800k baht is in pounds to.

The 'safe' cladding would have melted at the temperatures that fire created.

Perhaps, perhaps not. It would definately have given those poor souls more time to escape, and to go for the flammable option, to save 6 grand, just shows how bad the CONservative council were. Save money by all means, but not 6 k to put up flammable as oppose to safe cladding.

We were a rich family. We had two (yes two) paraffin heaters.
Paraffin delivery to our road was weekly. Kids used to take cans out to the van.
I remember the van driver dropping matches into the can to show that the fluid wasn’t flammable. It was the fumes !
If he tried that nowadays he’d be sacked before he got back in his van !! Lol

My Nan would only have that.
When I lived with her it was never a pleasant experience having to use an outside bog and izal to 'polish off after.
Now with central heating, 4 ply quilts, with a soothing bit of aloe Vera, plus baby wipes... well

The indians all ride bareback on piebald ponies & shoot arrows. Portrayed as backwards and traditional savages.

The truth is that the Indians were on foot for 99% of their existence, until Europeans introduced the Horse.

Initially Spanish Jews fleeing the Inquisition. The first cowboys.

The thing is irrelevant of the type used it was conforming to the standards required at the time.
Sadly when you look back it takes disasters for changes to be made. Accidents are just that, accidents.
Politics and point scoring using 79 dead people seems a little desperate CP. Waiting for the outcome of the investigation might be favourite.
