Going by those odds, I think it's laughable that Villa are in the same bracket as Brighton. I'm struggling to think of a Brighton player that definitely gets in Villa's team. They'd probably argue Dunk albeit I'm not necessarily convinced.

See where we are after another couple of weeks of transfers. Would be surprised if we haven't progressed on that table by that point. If we picked up Lookman, Kabak and Gallacher we'd be starting to look pretty handy.

I've just checked the odds. We are fourth favourite for relegation - near 2-1, Norwich are evens and Watford and Brentford aren't far off evens.

Im going to say that Palace will always be in the bookies list of favourites to go down! No one likes us being the the Premier league.
Im concerned that we have lost a lot of experience with PVA, Townsend and others either leaving or moving on. Its good to have young players as they are keen and want to prove themselves, but experience always wins over youth!
PV is unproven as a manager in the Premier League, so theres uncertianity there! All this points to the bookies placing us to go down. But herein lies the issue are the bookies always right?
Like Den I agree if Roy had stayed on as manager one more season, we would have gone down with last seasons squad?
What I saw at the friendly with Ipswich Town theres lots of promise from the youth and from those players who have come in on transfers.....
Whatever lets get behind the team and the manager, they need us to give them encouragement from the stands. So COYP
