I’m not sure I believe that the player is on £85k a week. That would make him the highest earner in the league, wouldn’t it?

That’s what he’s reported to want. He’s currently on about £20,000.

Couldn't we offer Ayew as part of the deal, save 32.500 a week and get rid of a player who produces nothing

And stops Rak-Saki, Banks, or Olise when fit playing. Rak-Sakyi is ready now, doesn't matter he's 17, its how good you are.

I would like to think we set the bar of expectation a little higher than 9 league goals now.

i dont think you realise how good Rak-Sakyi is, Owen, Rooney and mant others played at 17, and he is super special

Not just yet IMO but he's certainly the nearest of the youngsters and he could well be ready before the season is over. I hope he'll get a good number of opportunities off the bench to ease him in. I'm sure Vieira will let him loose when he deems he's ready for the starting line-up.

Remember how careful Citeh were with Foden and they were right to be.

Actually I think it's you that doesn't realise how good he is. You're making him out to be the finished article that he isn't. Careful management will hopefully see him develop into a first team player.

He's the brightest of a bunch of promising young players. From what I've seen of him, I think he has a future.

My original response was to your nonsensical statement about Ayew keeping Rak-Sakyi, Banks and Olise out of the team.

Great shout Lanzo! Despite the odd good game here and there he is deffo a player we could improve upon (and his stroppy demeanour give me the hump)!!

I agree. And talking of youngsters just look at Pedri at Barcelona. Only 18 now, yet he was star of the Euros for Spain. Already a champions league star. Yet this time last year he was at Las Palmas, just next door for you Lanzo. This season should be Sakyi breakthrough. And I don’t think Banks will be far behind.

You sound like Hodgson, the more he plays the better he gets, not the other way round
