Love Cricket whatever the format is but since this new competition has come along it just shows that there is a lot of snobbery within the sport mainly media and fans. It's just a bit of fun and it won't be the death of county or test cricket. That was trotted out when T20 first arrived but if anything county cricket has got stronger since the switch to 2 divisions and is still popular whilst Test cricket is still watched by millions. The only slight concern is the 50 over Royal London Cup getting less attention than it should due to it going on at the same time as the 100 but overall lets just enjoy the 100 great to see kids enjoying themselves at the grounds and new fans being attracted to the sport.

Another problem with franchise cricket is that the West Midlands franchise was captained by Moeen Ali who plays for Worcestershire thus alienating all of the Warwickshire fans who are based at Edgbaston. Imagine having a regional football competition with the south region playing at Selhurst Park and captained by Lewis Dunk. I'm not sure that many Palace fans would be happy to pay money to attend

It’s banned in my house. I simply refuse to give it any airtime which might help boost ratings. I consider it a genuine threat to Test cricket and no cricket fan should be supporting this. Was offered a ticket yesterday and had a go at my mate for buying them. We’ve got T20, which to be fair has been a success, but why on Earth do we need this new format which is 20 balls less? The ‘franchise’ set up is so American and has never been popular in the UK. The hundred can absolutely do one, I hope there’s loads of empty seats.

I have attended all formats of the game and have never seen this type of audience at a game. Test cricket is too expensive and too slow for children and T20 is a drink sodden after work booze up! Cricket is already suffering from a lack of interest and involvement at youth level, this type of niche approach can only be good for the whole game.
