As a long standing Surrey member and someone who is very active in local cricket I think the 100 is a load of rubbish. Designed by the ECB to fracture county cricket and destroy the men's game in general. Loads of free tickets to help fill grounds which hasn't really worked, idiotic commentary from the BBC and Sky quota fillers.

However look at the crowds of paying spectators for the 50 over game. Guildford, albeit a small ground, is sold out for tomorrows Surrey V Nottinghamshire game. The Oval will have a good crowd on Friday and their will be lots of kids there.

There won't be p*ssed up city boys making a nuisance of themselves.

If you have to have the 100 start it in April and use it to generate interest in proper cricket which is a summer game. not spring and Autumn.

You can shove the 100 where the sun don't shine and leave it there!

I am enjoying being back at Selhurst and having a beer with my mates just like we have done for the past 40 years. Through Thick and thin we stick with our club. Not chairman, players or managers, OUR CLUB!

The reality is that mums and kids (I believe the target market) will not attend this because let’s be honest, how many woman follow cricket? Real cricket fans are vehemently against it, many actively oppose it. If the ECB’s genuine objective is to attract kids, they should have family sections whereby a kid comes for free with a full paying adult for the T20. This keeps the kids away from the ‘boozy city boy’ stereotype.

All the media and pundits keep banging on about how successful it’s been, but that’s all a lie. Stadiums are empty despite all the freebies being handed out. I honesty haven’t met a single person who supports it. Let’s hope it dies an early death.

I agree. I didn't think think that I would watch any of it but due to the timing I often watch the first 20 minutes of a game then go and have dinner. Because I couldn't care less who wins I rarely bother watching more of the game after i've eaten and often haven't a clue who has won.

What does this format have that 20/20 doesn't apart from artificial excitement, dumbing down and second rate commentators
