Interesting.. but by cutting the guys that have left that removes circa 30 mill off the wage bill , so what and who accounts for the other 100 mill or so ? .. operating at 93% income going on wages is financial suicide ..

The link is a year old, all is not rosey .. 93% of income goes on wages thats iro 130 + mill a year , last year c19 loss is 60 mill.

If we have income of 150 mill then a 130 mill wage bill will cripple the club in the long term unless we recount 50 mill year on year on player sales.

With the outgoing players and new signings we still are probably bumping along at 110 mill iro so on wages, with Wilf and Tekkers the only guys left on 100k plus how is the rest spent ?

I would guess another nice sign on fee plus maybe 80k ? 2 yr contract. To replace him would of cost ? 15mill

yes, I couldn't agree more, do you know who owns the ground as I think it is a holding company and it may well be leased back to the club and therefore not a club 2010 asset?

cpfc2010 owns the ground.

if it had been sold/mortgaged we would have heard about it.

Palace Holdco UK Ltd is the holding company and the freehold is in the consolidated accounts

Our revenue was 142m (-8% due to Covid)

Our wage bill was 132m (due to filing 13 months instead of 12. Would have been 121m if over 12 months.)

Thus wages equals 92%.

However...

Pre-Covid we made 155m in revenue, I'd expect us to make that in this coming season.

Our wage bill will probably be sub 100m (121m/12 months minus 20-25m.)

Wages would equal 65% of income.

That leaves 55m to cover other expenses and our transfer budget.

"But we made huge losses for 2 seasons and probably last year as well!!!"

Due to Covid that last 2 (affected) seasons will count as 1 for FFP. It depends who we owe money to. Aston Villa just "converted" 151m worth of debt to shares. If the owners covered our losses we will be fine.

These accounts only reflect half a season during the pandemic and the gate receipts were only down by £2m

Broadcasting revenue was down £12m and wages were increased substantially although much of that will be down to extending the financial year from the end of June until the end of July

I mentioned on another thread, but some time ago one of the CPFC2010 group stated that CPFC could operate at a profit without fans in the stadium on a matchday.
That may not be the case, and in any event, not having fans at games may also have impacted other revenue streams.
