I think it is becoming apparent that both Rak-Sakyi and Banks are on the fringe of the first team and I imagine PV is impressed with both of them. Whilst I don't think they are likely to be regulars this season, I could see them on the bench on occasions, as well as playing in the U23s.

One thing is for sure, they are two good prospects and that should help to inspire other members of the academy.

They are two different types. And possibly need a different approach to their development. Banks ,would benefit from a Championship loan, IMO to sharpen him tactically. Rak Sakyi, is so near,I would keep him close as he has a style that could easily get ruined in the wrong hands. In just this pre season his game improves ,and matures. As with many better than him his final ball or shooting efforts need to develop , we might be saying that in three years time, it’s so often the bit that disappoints .
He has been given a good looking over on the pitch by some solid pros , not giving him an inch ,in recent weeks , and he has rarely put a foot wrong.
I wouldn’t advocate throwing him in , but there will be cups , and maybe the odd ten minutes , I would like to see that happen, and if he did set the place alight, how bad would that be ?

Agreed.

Banks looks promising but his awareness and decision making need more work.

Rak-Sakyi will I think be fast tracked into the first team squad and hopefully pick up some minutes here and there.
