Credit to our midfield for controlling the ball well in the first 30 minutes, though our attackers didn't threaten. In the final 15 minutes of the half, after Wilf's unemphatic pen, Watford exposed our defenders. The defense lacked shape, purpose, or help, and we were fortunate that Watford didn't finish well.

Overall, we're playing more lively, assertive football than in recent years, but our defense looks as it did when we played poorly last season.
