The steak is all you really want.

Overpriced 10oz steak is not worth this back in US I used to go direct to farmers and buy highest quality meat and it would be half the price of this (I know different country but that is not the point most of the markup I expect is going to the restaurant)

“ most of the markup I expect is going to the restaurant” no s*** Sherlock, is that not what is called running a business? Don’t get me wrong I think those sort of prices are outrageous but if people pay it, they will continue to charge it

I would imagine Ghee would not last that long in those conditions, but happy to be proved wrong. Personally I can’t stand the smell of Ghee

Perhaps next time you are there you can put in a bulk order on behalf of the HOL?

I agree that it can be expensive to eat out but sometimes I just feel like splurging. I haven't had a Goodman's steak for 3/4 years so I think it's about time.

I have a simple method for budgeting a meal, if your main meal is say £30 double the cost that will most likely be your bill for the evening e.g. starters, dessert wine, coffee.

Special steak?

Eating out is a total rip off. So called posh food is just another way to relieve people of their hard earned money.

The standard of food in this country is generally rubbish and vastly inflated in price. Most of it you could get from Sainsbury's and easily cook at home.

Add it to stupid, impractical home makeovers and ridiculous gardens on the list of ways the upper middle class rip off the plebs.

Don't get me started on antiques and restored furniture.

They are cheap to make which is why they are so popular with the TV companies

Mediterranean gardens. Really? In England? Wooden decking and seating that will be knackered with a few years of weathering and needs painting every year. Rock gardens that will look nice for 5 minutes.

Perfect white walled show homes with arty bollocks strewn all over it when you have kids?
High polish white tiles in the kitchen when one drop of water on them will risk a broken skull.

What I really dislike about all this 'high end' so called fine dining is the way they maul the food about with their hands in the kitchen.......

Yeah the first time I ever saw decking it registered maintenance in my head. Wood getting wet always does. Yeah tiles can be fecking lethal. Could’ve injured or killed myself a few times.

Are arty bollocks much different to ordinary ones?

Probably shaved, perfumed and with some sort of piercing.

decking just needs a pressure wash once a year & ideally a fresh coat of oil / preservative.
It is however bloody slippery & lethal if its left to get too damp & greasy.
Not suitable for a lot of people but ok if its practical for you & you take time to maintain it.
Unfortunatly a lot of finishes are impractical, the slippery floor tiles previously mentioned , the wrong paint finish in a busy room (kitchen).
many people put nice kit in their garden & just let it fall apart-if youve got any wooden furniture in a sad state , paint it 2 coats of Sadolin superdec, itll look like new, comes in all RAL or BS colours, dead easy to use & hard as nails.

Kids, tired of being bothered by your pesky parents?
Then leave home, get a job & pay your own bills, while you still know everything.
