In India and pakistan, both places I was fortunate to visit, there are no "Phall" local dishes,it has purely been invented for the British palate.
They would not know what one was talking about if one asked for a Chicken phall, nor a "Gunpowder Khalia" which I have seen on a menu in this country.

I have been offered a 'Staff curry' by a restaurant I used to frequent several years ago, it was flavoursome but quite mild and very different to what is served on menus.
