We may well have three American Directors who control about 50% of the share capital of the club. But we have Steve Parish and thank heavens we do not have Mike Ashley.

Dann £3,840,000
Van Aanholt £5,280,000
Hennessey £3,360,000

so just on those players, the club will have saved circa £28,560,00 a year in wages,If you look at the players that have come in it appears that their contracts have a higher element of pay linked to performances and appearances

Your guesswork is way off on Cahill, no way he was on £125k a week and Hennessey was on £35k a week not £65k a week.
So, not 100% correct!

Midlands- Do not know if you can answer this but how does Parish stake remain the same if this is new investment into the club.
If this is new investment then the whole cake gets bigger but more people to share it with, everyone gets less proprtional of a bigger cake. But if that is the case then why is Parish is still getting the same proportional slice of bigger cake, some one must be missing out.

Hopefully one of our resident bean counters can answer that more confidently than me

Fair enough , not sure about the mixing of beans and cakes though it sounds wrong

If any of you guys use Twitter engage with this guy.

He chats back in a refreshingly honest way.

Probably a bit unique for an overseas investor but he genuinely seems to get it.

And he has watched When Eagles Dare and loved it!

Should be compulsory for any investor!

I don't know where SP found him but i think in years to come we will be glad he did.

Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

I met John Textor before the Brentford game.

I had a good chat with him and I came away thinking that he is going to be a much more visible presence than our other American investors.

As well as being a keen football fan in general, he really seems to ' get ' Palace.

I hope we see him often at Selhurst Park going forward.

Just listened to a fascinating interview with him on The Athletic: Football Podcast.

Gives a good insight into the running of the club, his background and general positivity/opportunities currently surrounding the club.

He comes across as a decent guy and shows a lot of enthusiasm for the club. The cynic in me says someone worth that much knows how to deliver good self PR however he does appear as a genuine chap with decent community based morals.

Apparently his son is now a massive Palace fan and has “enlisted” several College friends to the cause. They watch all Palace games. Textor has contributed greatly to Palace for Life, Palace Ghana fc etc. I believe we are lucky to have someone like him around.
Did he not try to buy Benfica before investing in Palace? Owns a soccer academy in Florida, from where we signed the US player who is out on loan
