Going down?

Sadly us but I can only hope we drag Brighton down with us.

We have let too many players leave and not brought in enough quantity to I reckon make a decent go of it.

But on a more positive note. we have brought in quality and I quite enjoy a good promotion push.

Three from,
Watford
Norwich
Brentford
Burnley
Brighton
Southampton
Newcastle

But not us, bottom 6 at Christmas, top ten at the end of the season

Don’t get too caught up on one result - first game of the season.
It’s a marathon not a sprint and we will be fine don’t get too downhearted about today.

Norwich,
Southampton,
Us or Watford.
(this prediction was made before today's games.

Or
Chelsea,
Man City,
Man Utd
if you look at the table upside down.

Don’t wet the bed after losing to the team that will probably win the f***ing league! It’s an improvement on last season, kept it under 4 and had a shot

Not a comment made as a result of today's result. We were never going to win at the bridge unless we got very lucky.

I just think that we are in a very challenging transition phase. We are seeing the sort of staff turnover usually seen at relegated clubs and with that has gone a huge amount of experience - something however good our new signings are - and they are good, young players just don't have.

So I am concerned that to take two steps forward we may have to take one back.

As a fan of over 40 years standing I have seen it happen before.

I said today would define this team which was not much different to last season!
If Palace don't invest in a couple of decent strikers I'm afraid it's championship here we come! Why do we hold onto strikers that just can't hack it anymore. We should have let them go and upped Southampton's price for AA by 5 million. By the end of the season he will look like a bargain at 15m.
What a shame.
Why didn't we play the Dane from the start and put 'K' into midfield.
I can see the season unfolding as it did a few years ago before Hodgson appeared!
Early days, but Brentford and Watford gave a good account of themselves, they don't fear the opposition and take the game to their opponents. They look like they want to win games. So I think your prediction may be off the mark like our 'strikers'.

Indeed. And furthermore, we aren't bottom of the league.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Norwich going down again. Too sh1t at the back, again.

Burnley running out out of players and owners not spending.

Difficult to say on 18th place.
