Getting battered so far and very fortunate it’s only 1. Mateta looks very unfit. Definitely need another striker to challenge Benteke as JPM doesn’t look up to it. Hard to look up to it when you cannot clear lines and have few if any playable balls up top. I think he has more than he can show here.

Terrible first half. Think we left our own half twice. Literally zero positives other than the fact it can’t get any worse performance wise! Need to get the ball to Zaha and Schlupp higher up pitch.

Ayew is awful as is riedewald They are both playing out of position in my opinion. Ayew plays his best football as a centre forward, not out wide. Riedewald is not a midfielder. He provides no presence in midfield. We suffered last season like this, and hopefully Vieira can see it from today.
