Have you asked Willo where he keeps his Prince Andrew portrait?

Hopefully not in his grand daughters bedroom.

Couldn’t help noticing good reviews for Demarai Gray and Andros Townsend for Everton. Too slow to catch a cold for the first and gave them the second for nothing. Typical Palace.

Olise was originally said to have a hairline fracture in his shoulder(blade or collarbone) but is now said to have a back problem, has he taken Wickhams place in the treatment room?

Still much criticism of Ward and Mitchell, I have previously posted my view that Moss was more at fault than Mitchell for the free kick and first goal and the center backs should have been more involved in blocking the second and third goals, Ward was not and should not have been in a position to stop them.

Late on there was a pass from Wilf to Ward which according to the commentator was too far in front of him and therefore went out for a throw in but as usual Wilf glared at Ward to deflect the blame for a bad pass. Some would say that Ward is too slow, but if you know he doesn't have the pace, as Wilf should, you play the ball accordingly.

I would be interested to know who is advising Wilf, if he really wants a move to a 'big' club he should be shining, not sulking.

Concerning Mateta, we could have had Harry Kane, Mo Salah or dare I say it Messi up front yesterday but with the service from the rest of the team they wouldn't have looked good either.

Also lets not get carried away when/if we beat Brentford next week possibly with Anderson, Gallagher and Benteke starting instead of Schlupp, Rieidewald and Ayew in a 442 formation.

I believe that it was on HOL, some while ago, that I was asserting that I would like to see Gray at our club.
Has that change of pace and direction and the ability to go past opponents.

Benteke did come good at the business end of the season, scoring 5 in his last 7 PL games and 4 in his last 4 PL games. For this reason I believe Mr Hodgson would have been pilloried if he had chosen Mateta over him yesterday.
Mateta has looked like a 'Fish out of water' in the PL.

Benteke lacked pre-season minutes both in training and game time so it was no surprise to see him on the bench. Had there been someone other Ayew to play wide on the right, Ayew may have been the CF choice, but there wasn't. I have little doubt that Vieira has already recognized that Mateta isn't going to be good enough but with the shortage of resources at his disposal yesterday what else could he have done?

I’m just grateful Chelsea didn’t bother with 4th or 5th gear and they declared at 3. As the song goes things can only get better’

Wow. What rubbish. Good strikers make those look easy, but they certainly aren’t. The composure, technique…it’s far from easy. Did you see Traore’s miss for Wolves? Case in point.

I just hope that the decision to let him go doesn't come back to haunt us.

How exactly? I just don’t get this…he has been poor for far too log. We need a replacement don’t get me wrong…but Townsend is past it.

It was 1vs1 so I think frankly he should have scored and he made it look better than it needed to be…Keane helped him out quite a bit IMO.

The difference in quality between the teams made it look like a 3rd round FA Cup match where a mid table Championship team are drawn to an in form PL team and pretty much just make up the numbers.

We weren't terrible and tried hard. Guehi was on consistent and Mitchell too. Giving away too many free kicks was our undoing

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Top strikers make those look easy. They aren't always.
