We had one in our backyard growing up. I doubt it would have saved you from the German bombs, shrapnel perhaps?

I remember Dad breaking ours up - quite easily I think. Same thought as you about German bombs Badger.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Andersen and Gallagher will start and I would give Butland a go in goal and Benteke up top

*************BENTEKE**WILF****************

Would not mind Butland in goal and please put "nowhere to be seen" Schlupp vs Chelsea on the bench for Rak-Sakyi, who showed no fear and respect when he came on.

I saw Brentford beat Arsenal 2-0 and they looked a useful outfit.
They are definitely NOT married to a style of play and really mix it up.
They are not afraid to hit it long and get it in the mixer or push the big men up to contest long throws into the box.
As well as that they can knock it about a bit.
I make them favourites for this game.

Looks like Anderson has some level of fitness, so I'd be tempted to start the future CB pairing now, but move Kouyate into CDM to offer some energy and bite.

Really like that team selection, I hope you are right!!

if we could play without ayew we would be better equipped to win.

Brentford play the exact same formation, we have better players, so, in theory we win

I haven't seen any of the Brentford v Arsenal game but did watch the Palace X1 v Brentford B. Brighty was saying they the B side play very much in the manner of the 1st team. If so we will face a high pressing team who won't give us much time and room on the ball, even back in our own half.

If so, our tendency to make poor passes, even when not directly under pressure, could see us in hot water if we are not careful. Hopefully Guehi and Andersen will prove to be an upgrade, and won't be so keen to share the ball with the opposition as some of our recent defenders have been.
