Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Andersen and Gallagher will start and I would give Butland a go in goal and Benteke up top

I saw Brentford beat Arsenal 2-0 and they looked a useful outfit.

Looks like Anderson has some level of fitness, so I'd be tempted to start the future CB pairing now, but move Kouyate into CDM to offer some energy and bite. ****************GUAITA******************* Really like that team selection, I hope you are right!!

if we could play without ayew we would be better equipped to win.

Brentford play the exact same formation, we have better players, so, in theory we win I haven't seen any of the Brentford v Arsenal game but did watch the Palace X1 v Brentford B. Brighty was saying they the B side play very much in the manner of the 1st team. If so we will face a high pressing team who won't give us much time and room on the ball, even back in our own half. If so, our tendency to make poor passes, even when not directly under pressure, could see us in hot water if we are not careful. Hopefully Guehi and Andersen will prove to be an upgrade, and won't be so keen to share the ball with the opposition as some of our recent defenders have been.
