Parish and Vieira were after one more signing in the summer, which didn’t come off, so I would think there is still funds available.

Possibly. But we are astute buyers, tend to carpet bag the lower leagues, and have learned from previous mistakes. I doubt the surplus fund is enough to prize Gallagher from Chelsea; or this guy if we have to win a premiership feeding frenzy.

It'd be a tricky one to pull off this - he's bang on everyone's radar.

One possible upside for us is that we could offer him a fairly direct route into first team football. Most everywhere else he'd be struggling for a squad spot.

Could also try a cheeky buy and loan back deal as per Zaha all those years ago. But rather fancy he'll be out of our price bracket.

Liverpool bound, top top talent, not sure its a good career move, think moving to a club like Palace, playing regularly then moving on would be more beneficial, but I wish him the best.

Li VAR pool dont often do us any favours but if we have to give CG back to Chelsea perhaps this lad can fill that loan spot ?

Was talked about last season as one to watch. Would of been a gamble but now looks out of our price range/attraction judging by the possible suitors. Suspect this ship has sailed.

We haven't got to give Gallagher back, he's here until the summer.

Liverpool for 5m ? That's a steal. Can we offer Fulham 10m!

I'd still love us to go after him.

I wonder if you could tempt him with an unusual contract offer.

Say, a contract with a 'relatively' low clause. Say £30m (nothing nowadays for a Liverpool player).

At Liverpool he will be bit part at absolute best. With us he has the chance to play regular game time in the Prem.

If he has a blinder of a season, he'll be worth 30m or more, will get a move and we'll make decent profit.

Fulham will most likely return to the PL, so why would he want to come to us if all he wants is regular PL football? His refusal to extend his contract suggests he's looking to move to Liverpool or one of the other big English or European clubs - not Palace. Let's move on to more realistic targets.

Playing devils advocate, Fulham are likely to go back down, and he might want a more solid base.

If he thinks he is going to get into the Liverpool team, well he isn't. At best he'll play the odd domestic cup game, maybe a European group game when they are through.

Whilst unlikely, I don't think its out of the realms of possibility. We are a club on the up, and doing a good job at demonstrating that we are a great place for young talent to prosper.
