Wright for his goals - he can replace any of our forwards - who are never going to be as prolific as he was. Currently, send Mateta back and travel in time to steal the 22 year old Wright from Greenwich Borough or whatever it was.

Tbf this team might finish 6th with Wright up top. Maybe you're right! He was a force all right...beyond his goals and pace.

To complement what we have, Andy Johnson

A lot of the older generation would be no use in modern game so I would go with a guy who showed he could cut it in the modern game not just at Palace Glenn Murray in his prime.

A player which was under rated and should of been at the club for another 2 seasons.

I wouldn't mind swapping Zaha for his junior self who was a better player he had pace plus hunger none of this sulking stuff he really did want to play football and for palace.

Kevin Mabbutt was a similar case to Elwiss, not as good but injury ruined him

I gave serious thought to Murray. He and Zaha were a good combination because Murray got us up the pitch and then had the movement Zaha needs from a forward.

I think for an exercise like this, you sort of have to assume the players of yesteryear would be evolved versions of themselves. I don't even know if Wright would have cut it in today's prem.

This is tough!

Ian Wright, AJ, Steve Kember, Yogi Hughes.

Would love one of those to be around today at their peak.

Sorry, it said one but I am a typical woman!

Don't get me started on shoes!!

Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

Kenny Sansom for me and obviously at left back.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

Andy Johnson.

If he can score 21 goals with a midfield of Routledge, Riihilahti, Hughes, Leigertwood and Kolkka, he'd score in this team. Our next highest goalscorer that season got 4.

His pace, accuracy and directness was incredibly impressive. About as efficient a striker as you'll find.

Trevor Aylott would give our current strike force some competition

More than anything, this team needs a goal scorer so it's Wright for me, with AJ or Armstrong not far behind.

Wright alone would lift us 3 or 4 spots in the table.

As much as Lombardo and Cabaye were terrific in the middle, we currently don't have the strikers to take advantage of their creativity.

If I could have 2, Wright and Lombardo.
