A striker who is 23 and moving from the SPL to the PL can't afford to have an attitude problem.

The only benefit of playing in Scotland is you win every week. When you get knocked out of Europe, have no competition for your place and have nothing to look forward to all season, I can see how the motivation would go.

He does well here, his career is completely set. He's showed he can score goals, so I'm looking forward to seeing what he can bring to us.

£20m for Nketiah would have been an absolutely numpty of a signing, he's totally unproven in any league. Francis Jeffers scored loads of goals for England U21 whilst at Arsenal.

Just read a piece from the Arsenal end, suggests the problem was Nketiah, making demands we wouldn’t meet. Arsenal, had moved on a fee so not their fault. It sounds as if we have gone in the right direction, if the choice was just between those two.

I'd generally rather pay a high transfer fee over high wages. High wages and meh performance are a recipe for disaster and complacent footballers.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

My gut feeling at the moment is, that maybe much to Mr. Vieira's displeasure our business is done for this window.

Smoke and mirrors...........business is done or we make a late deal for our preferred option.

Neither are astronomical in this case.

I'd take Edouard - just a hunch.

Yep, Nketiah for me too, if it has to be one or the other.

I confess, this was my well informed input on page 2! In my defence I had little knowledge of either player, and from the details available it seemed as if Edouard's form at Celtic had tumbled while Nketiah from Arsenal appeared a better bet.

Anyway ASCPFC, a terrific retrospective hunch if yours if I may say so.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

There is a lot of us who are in the same boat , in my defence my knowledge of him was being half arsed at Celtic for last 18 months. Might be worth asking the MODS if they can lose this thread as we will all have to do a Mattteo and Dazza and disappear afetr bad predictions.

I can also predict the score after every match. I don't think any of us predicted two goals in ten minutes. Well, someone probably did for a laugh. Currently, looks like the right guy.
In fairness to Nketiah, he's got time. I personally thought Nketiah was fine at 10 mil, the 20 mil seemed too much. I never looked at the Edouard price, looked like 14/15 with add ons. It's probably published somewhere. Looks like good business right now.
