You may be right, as I stated before, watch out for mega tv deal for PL from Saudi

Yes, the other part. They had just been illegally showing Premier League matches, or threatening to, after refusing the last deal. They wanted some kind of preferential treatment, or else someone gets sent home in a set of suitcases. I think we can guarantee that now.

I loved that the TV face of the deal was Amanda Staveley. Nothing cynical about that. I presume she stumped up half the money herself.

I'm not so sure. Although we'd all like Palace to win a trophy (other than the Zenith Data Systems Cup!) I don't think we have this blinkered belief that we deserve to be near the top, which is something that haunts fans of clubs like Newcastle, Leeds and West Ham and which perhaps turns off their morality switch.

Personally, I would rather Palace be relegated than become the plaything of a murderous despot. Or maybe you think Jordan should have sold to Gaddafi when he had the chance? Maybe then we might have an FA Cup in the cabinet (albeit with a spot of blood on the handle)

Any decent Palace fan would agree with your post

Newcastle will be massive, its just jealousy from other fans very few people would have been moaning on here if they bought palace.

Don't agree with this one bit. Many fans, myself included would turn their back on the club if this happened at Palace. I'm not particularly happy about John Textor with no affiliation to CPFC turning up from nowhere and pumping money in. It just feels like we're cheating.

Man City, Chelsea and now Newcastle are the epitome of everything that's wrong with football. I'm pleased they got Ashley out but this just feels a lot worse for some many reasons.

Shearer on the bbc, Keown on Talksport saying how marvellous it is that Newcastle will have the Saudi billions to spend. These are the same people who want players to continue taking the knee against ALL forms of discrimination. Presumably that no longer includes, the rights of women, homosexuals
, migrant workers etc. The hypocrisy beggars belief
Personally I would like to think Palace would not sell their soul to Saudis, if they did I doubt I would renew my season ticket

Listen out for Gary Linekar’s silence.

I wouldn't.
I want to win something.

The slow take over of the PL by super wealthy Arabs is very sad, but the League is allowing it. It is in that sense legitimate.

I'd rather win as an underdog, but Newcastle's Arab takeover is just another example of how globalism destroys national culture. People who live in their bubbles of woke self righteousness need to understand this. It's all about benefits for the super rich.

Yes, yes and thrice yes.

Mike Ashley was vilified as almost satanic, now owned by people who behead, mutilate, stone etc etc.

I expect a few PL officials have nice new cars.

The whole thing just stinks

Well he didn't load Newcastle with debt as previous owners have.

Sad, but true. One thing's for sure though, we'd all like Selhurst to be as grand as St James's.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

The inevitable Premier Elite league with no relegation is now on the horizon.Saudi/Russian/Chinese influence and power will force this through. Expect some the 'sleeping giants' to be invited to the party as more money pours in to buy them up. Then the European super league will happen. Sad times.

Well, Steve Bruce had better beware.

Or, indeed, any subsequent manager.

If they don't succeed, they'll be leaving St James' in a suitcase.

But that's ok, so long as Newcastle FC win trophies, eh?

Very neutral club Newcastle. Best away fans in the league but also a fake big bloated club.
Thye league is finished it seems, the only good thing with the Toons is at least they will break the Top 6 protected clubs.

Big up the Palace!!!!

If St James' is indeed "grand", it's grand without any Saudi money. Ergo Mike Ashley dun good.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)
