I appreciate that, there's mutual benefits for the whole community are achievable by supporting different disadvantaged groups. To resolve challenges that working class white kids are facing, we don't need to ignore or belittle challenges that people from other backgrounds are having.

Also, with journalist, they need to find interesting stories. With Covid there's not much going on. A story about a charity bake sale for a scout group in Norfolk isn't going to be as interesting as attempts to level-up for disadvantage people from different backgrounds.

Agreed.

Sensationalism and social contagion via media is driving attitudes, especially among the young.
It is divisive and, among other things, creates the impression that certain demographics all think the same way on various subjects. The government and mainstream media are complicit in this, creating an environment where people fear for their jobs and safety if they speak out against the propaganda.
One has to conclude that the agenda is all about money like 99% of things are and that that money will be finding its way to the very rich.
In short, our country is being re engineered for the rich.

Isn't the whole aim to help the country become more prosperous? Again, they don't have to be mutually exclusive.

Our country was built by some of the wealthiest people the world has ever seen. Although they realised to sustain that they need happy population. In other countries, that didn't twig, and they collapse.

Whilst we have strong equality legislation now, we didn't in previous generations. However, the parents and grandparents from people from the same background didn't. The parents and grandparents would have told their kids not to trust authority as they are racist. Trying to break that mindset is going to take generations, but if that can be accelerated then it will be beneficial for everyone.

State education and health care exists to provide a healthy workforce. As less and less menial jobs will exist in the future we need to do all we can to get people from all backgrounds into more highly skilled roles. That will benefit the masses and the rich.

Well yes, if it were that simple.
It's true that wealth trickles, but too much wealth is held by too few. That is a whole other argument.
The welfare of the immigrant population is only of significance because we have allowed them to come here. That was the first mistake. Given that they are here, it is right and proper that every one is treated equally. Unfortunately, equality of opportunity does not equal equality of outcome. That is a big problem.
Also, although in some great utopian future it is easy to hope for a homogenous society where there is no conflict or poverty among certain demographics, this is a fantasy. Humanity thrives on competition, and that produces winners and losers. Social engineering won't change that, and worse we have been forced to live in a country where competition for living standards have been extended to the world. Now we might not be able to escape the grater reality of a shrinking world, but we can decide who comes here. I see no advantage to the current policy of large scale immigration. It is a short term solution to plug the labour shortage and increase tax revenue. It hasn't worked and can never work in the long term. The cost to our culture, and by that I mean everything that Britain was and is no longer, is enormous and all for nothing.

True, but just as true is that said filters will always be arbitrary, not along predictable lines that benefit us. Any surface politically idealised outcome, such as the 'everyone in' of the far left or 'turf em out' of the far right will still end up with people waking up the next day with the sh!t end of the stick in one way or another. There will always be another 'target for blame' and it will be someone with very little; those with disabilities perhaps, the poor being ever squeezed and so on. There is no 'white brother', nor 'coke advert' scenario. It's all varying degrees of guff because as soon as people appear to have more in common or power they just fragment in other ways on account of how convenient yet ridiculous most of these distinctions are to begin with. They are useful distinctions until they're not.

I'm no fan of mass immigration for instance. I do however appreciate the realities of society and where we're at, whereas Hrolf has essentially said multiple times that how non-whites are perceived changes peoples views of immigration. I have little interest in finding ways to do down my fellow man in some kind of misjudged belief that it will long term shift demographics a couple of percentage points this way or that. I would personally prefer to appreciate good people outside of any preconceived half baked idea of them. Most black people in my family or circle aren't some kind of hyper politicised BLM members and don't give a fig about any of this stuff. People would benefit from not letting their view of groups be disproportionately coloured by the actions of activists or media - in turn becoming exactly like those activists and formats with their own 'broadcasts'.

But anyway, as you said, it's pretty pointless to even talk about this anyway as it's not about to change anything..

What about a gay disabled black French pedo who is a bit of a tosser?

We should take over France. Let them know who’s in charge round here. As I’ve said before. Would only take a weekend. We can create more England over there. Serve ‘em right.

So why aren't the non blm supporting public of whatever colour allowed to voice disapproval without being labelled. It works both ways surely! If you support blm fair enough, explain why.
If you don't fair enough, but you aren't allowed to explain why.

If it was simple, they would have resolved the issue already.
Whilst socialists will tell you that the trickle down affect doesn't work, that's not entirely true. It does, to a limited extent. However, in this instance money is proactively being spent to provide people with a better future, thus reducing expensive reactive spend on policing, welfare, and healthcare, meaning more money can be set aside for Education, Infrastructure, and potentially lowering tax. That will benefit everyone.

Humanity does not thrive on a system that produces losers, it only thrives when everyone is lifted up.

The country doesn't have a mass immigration policy, far from it. The country voted to leave the European Union and we now have a points based system were sectors in haulage, farming, retail, are all crying out for the government to introduce more temporary visas. Going back, the Windrush was based on need, and their would be no NHS without immigration.

We haven't built enough houses in recent years, and where we have tried huge building programmes, architects and planners have messed it up. London and Glasgow have both had knife crime problems, with different demographics, one of the issues is how they build the terrible estates in the 50's and 60's. The UK infrastructure problems are a separate issue, but to resolve them, we need more immigration.

In terms of culture - I'm still yet to hear how my rights, or my life has been effected by immigration. People who bring up this argument never seem to be members of the National Trust

Personally, more immigration with highly skilled people would be a huge benefit to me. In the last year, we have created more jobs than the USA, and between 2010 and 2016 we created more jobs than the rest of the EU combined.

Back to the original topic. It's unfortunate the taking a knee stance does have association with far left ideologies, but in Tuesday's instance it was done in response to racist abuse the players had received from all around the world. If you want to boo that feel free, but don't be surprised when people question your motive.

Pedo tosser.

Can a pedo be classed as only "a bit of a tosser"?

There is nothing wrong with selective immigration. Unfortunately we have often chosen to allow people here who were an accident waiting to happen. Often they have come here for unskilled labour
and many others start businesses where they avoid paying tax by using cash only. So much for helping the economy.

If you have lived long enough, you will know how Britain's culture has changed. This country bears no relation to the one I knew as a child. Much of that is because of the effects of multi culture. Very little is for the better.

The trouble with the current rate of immigration, policy or not, is that it is unsustainable. People arriving require housing, cars, roads, water, food, hospitals, doctors, dentists, space.
The idea that they can support our older generation is also flawed. Immigrants also get old.
I'm not even going to get into the virtual replacement of White British population, which is inevitable and that you contest for some reason.
In future, we will have huge numbers of people trying to escape the effects of global climate change and the wars, famine and misery that creates. They will be heading to the UK. We have to develop a mindset of self-protection, or else we are doomed to become the Third World or worse.
