yep…most successful racing driver ever to live…will probably have every record going before he retires.

The thing is braunston, he's breaking records because the number of GPs in a season is much more than it was in, say the 60s, and today's cars are so much safer. Drivers today don't face the risks of yesteryear and they don't drive the variety of races.

I remember seeing Jim Clark racing a Lotus Cortina at the Crystal Palace circuit the same year as he won the F1 World Championship. Hamilton drives the best car in F1 and nothing else.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Then why can't anyone else?

Because you have to make a massive commitment via karting and somewhere at the start you need some money to go karting.

It is unlikely that Lewis Hamilton's achievements will ever be repeated, all the years of practically faultless performances driving at 200+ mph.

We should celebrate, not denigrate, when he is gone we will not be able to see another grand prix victory as routine.

I have never seen him let anyone down, not in the slightest, always giving his utmost, complaints forgotten and we go again.

A fantastic racing driver and British too.

He’s been under-appreciated to the tune of an M. B. E., a knighthood and around £250,000,000. He must be gutted.

He is a classless, arrogant, hypocrite. Should take a leaf out of Roger Federer or Anthony Joshuas book.

Luckily, I dislike the F1 car procession, so I don’t have to see his smug face too often. Can’t stand the bloke.

Good driver but that doesn’t sway me from my overall opinion that he is a total helmet, who wears a helmet.

Exactly. Dad spots his kid is good at football takes him to a local club who agree pretty soon playing at a decent level and spotted by scouts etc.

Dad takes his kid karting one day kid looks good but Dad doesn't push it as he can't afford to buy a kart and maintain a kart.

It is the cost of the sport that is the barrier not the colour of the skin.

They can but he is simply the best in the world, it will have to be when he is gone, imo, F1 drivers can come from any background.

Lewis was discovered in Karting, as was Vettel.

And Schumacher

A very talented driver, which he should probably stick to.
However, whilst being a prominent voice in the Black Lives Matter movement, makes himself look a tad hypocritical - he doesn't refuse to race in countries with decidedly iffy human rights histories or turn down the truckloads of cash from 2 of his sponsors who made cars and uniforms for the Nazis.

And Senna. Add all of them. It’s where they learn to really race, on the same karts, apart from maybe some that have newer tyres if they can afford them.
