Maybe it should have occurred to crybaby Stirling that the reason he isn't getting game time is because he has been crap for months.
His England performances were papered over by a couple of tap ins and Pep can see that he is largely ineffectual.

Whining on TV about not playing just makes him look like a twit.

As if anyone was in doubt.

Point and case - you clearly haven't even read the interview (whining on TV??)

No. It's alright, you didn't miss anything!

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Sterling did a blatant dive to win a pen for England.

He isn't playing much for City, and he decided to imply that he might move in a TV interview. I wonder why that would be?

He is highly overrated, end of story.

Poor old Raheem. Thinks he should leave Man City because he 'wants happiness......and need to be enjoying myself'. Doesn't think Pep plays him enough.

I bet there are just a few on here who would give their eye teeth to be paid his salary to kick a ball around with their mates every day. How often do you get up in the morning and head off to work with a smile, whistling a happy tune?

Blimey, we'd all like to enjoy ourselves every day. I'm retired now, but when I had to earn a crust I can honestly say that not many days made me happy.

So, if you want a happy time mate, go to Fenerbahce. Their supporters would really make you welcome and bring you happiness.

Cor, don't know they're born do they?

Good for him for wanting to play. Many happy to sit on the bench/reserves earning the big bucks. I don’t particularly like the bloke but he’s a quality player and far too good for Fenerbahce.

He’d walk into pretty much any side in the world bar Man City, Liverpool or Chelsea.

I think it's more likely to be the spin of Sterlings Agent. Agents get paid the bulk of their fees when they arrange a big money transfer. No transfers = no wonga.

Agent just trying to stir up some interest, but clubs generally won't be happy to pay a salary like the one Sterling's on.

Because he wants to play? What's wrong with that?

To put some of the questions I've already asked on the thread;

Guehi opted to join us and recently said "it was the appeal of playing Premier League football regularly that attracted me" - do you have a problem with that? and assuming not, what is the difference?

Would you prefer he came out and said "I've no interest in playing time and happy to sit on the bench for £200k a week" ?

You can think what you want about him as a player (I don't agree), but any rational personal can see there's nothing wrong with what he said.

I prefer it if he just shut up and played football. He is always complaining about something, poor little multi millionaire.

Guehi joined Palace because his performances warranted a step up, and we offered him that chance. Stirling's performances deserve exactly what he is getting. When you play for Man City you are judged by the highest standard, and he isn't in it.

I for one am *shocked* that Hrolf doesn’t like Jamaican born black Englishman, Raheem Sterling. It’s so off trend for him.

Yes you want 'them all' to shut up don't you.

Another black bloke you're irrationally getting yourself in a tizzy over.

Every. Single. Day.

What else has he complained about?

The point is there’s nothing weird or even unusual about a footballer wanting to play regular football - it’s literally the most common complaint you hear from players.

Regardless of whether you think he’s good enough or not, there’s nothing wrong with saying you want to play. I probably agree that with the signing of Grealish and development of Foden it’s becoming harder to make a case for Sterling to start every game, but I’d be more concerned if he was just happy to become a bench player, particularly with a World Cup round the corner.

If he is Jamaican born, he can't be English, can he Dan?
