You silly right wingers and your xenophobia.

I don’t defend Islamist extremists, they are the scum of the earth.

Normal rank and file Muslims are not ideologically aligned with ISIS.

Calling all Muslims anti western and the enemy of white English people is absolute bollocks. This is a war which only exists in the minds of the fans of Tommy Robinson. I’m sorry you don’t like seeing women with headdresses on when you go out for your Sunday paper, Stirley, I really am, but you are going to have to live and let live I’m afraid, this isn’t the 1950s.

I made the point about Jo Cox, her killer was born in Scotland - better close the border.

These are all strawman arguments that you made up.

No one has said 'all', only you. There are Muslims who also have supported Robinson by the way....just to burst your particular bubble. Though what Robinson has to do with this I'm not sure.

Just another of your strawman arguments to deflect from the fact that you just aren't very good at this.

Deuteronomy 17:2-5

If there is found among you, in one of the settlements that the Lord your God is giving you, a man or woman who has affronted the Lord your God and transgressed his covenant turning to the worship of other gods and bowing down to them, to the sun or the moon or any of the heavenly host, something I never commanded and you have been informed or have learned of it, then you shall make a thorough inquiry. If it is true, the fact is established, that abhorrent thing was perpetrated in Israel, you shall take the man or the woman who did that wicked thing out to the public place, and you shall stone them, man or woman, to death.

So the Jews have a death for apostasy law?

Errrr....they don't. However, 13 Islamic countries do.

Unlike the Quran, the writings aren't considered the literal words of god but words sent by god and interpreted via prophets.

Also looking into it this appears to be death for 'idolatry' not apostasy. Also not something carried out by these religions.

Apparently the idea that you're an islamophobe is just one man.

You deserve it Mainey, you are free as you like with your 'isms', enjoy the fact that plenty of non whites regard you as the same.

Considering you pulled someone up on spelling I also rather enjoyed the fact that you couldn't spell 'islamophobe' properly.

I mean....'islamaphone'.....Islam with a phone...bleeding hell.

Voting for someone guarantees you are aligned with every position they take on every subject, in perpetuity?

If that were true it would mean 100% of republicans believe injecting bleach into your veins for a kind of “cleaning” would be a good idea.

Pardon the spelling error. Islamophobia isn’t a word I have typed very often - you are no doubt an expert with that particular word.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

If, as I understand correctly, Ali Harbi Ali, was arrested at the scene, having waited for the police to arrive and that a knife was recovered, I would have thought there was a watertight case with charges being laid immediately.

So why the need for the Terrorism Act detention and the extra time that brings to question before charges must be made, or the suspect released?

I wonder if the police suspect that others might be involved and other crimes planned, so need to extract information. I can think of nothing else.

What I have noticed is that when neo fascist right wing folks use the term “strawman argument”, they generally misuse it.

Rather than strawman arguments, everything I mentioned is highly relevant to this thread.

However, do I take the above statement as you agreeing that there is such a thing as radical Islam, and that in fact normal rank and file Muslims cannot be judged based on their religion, but should be assessed on their character and individual beliefs and morals?

If so, we are in agreement.

Bringing charges takes a little time and moreso these radical Islamist extremists have complex connections across the globe, no doubt it takes some time to assess all that.

No, but it is kind of a leap to suggest the opposite. There are also plenty of surveys that will make rather plain how Islam is viewed in pakistan and around the Islamic world.

The bleach bs was a poor and ill advised Trump joke that you decided to take seriously, probably because your media told you to.

As for the spelling....well Mainey, if you can't spell yourself then perhaps you shouldn't criticise others.

Your 'isms and phobias' only exist in your bald head man. I don't subscribe to the nonsense you think. I only point out the hypocrisies of it....when I can be bothered that is.

I think both you and Khan are correct, it's not mutually exclusive in my view.

Religions have splits and within them denominations and within them a scale of piousness. However, I also get what Khan is saying, as in it's one religion with no agreed interpretation to say this is Islam and that is not.

Oh like those other crimes being more terrorist murders.
Which are just plain old crimes in your world!

You asked for examples in other religions, I provided that.

Apostasy can mean forsaking one religion for another, which is the exact circumstance in the text I provided, punishable by death.

Idolatry means extreme admiration or love for an idol, this is not the subject of the text I provided from Deuteronomy, so I don’t have a clue what you mean by that word, your use of the word idolatry makes zero sense.

You can try to think that I didn’t provide an example of death for apostasy in a religion other than Islam, if it makes you happy. I did though.

Fun fact, MAGA morons practice idolatry.

I reserve special criticism for misspelling the names of holy texts, such as the Bible, call me a pedant if you will.

I don’t think racism or xenophobia at large (or even in this funny little forum) exist only in my balding cranium.

As for Trump and his bleach, you know full well he meant it, as dim and detached from reality as he is.

I can't help it that you don't understand what idolatry means within a religious context Mainey. Look for interpretations for that verse and that's what you will find.

It is not stated that if someone leaves their religion that they must die.

I repeat there is no laws for death for apostasy that exists in other mainstream religions. I explained why that is within the context of how words in these religious books are treated.

I repeat there are death for apostasy laws existing in 13 Islamic countries.
