You must be on a windup here. You just must be.

She was in the middle of a violent, out of control, raging mob, who were systematically destroying doors and windows to enter further into the central areas of the Capitol building.

The crowd werent out to murder people? Why were they chanting "hang Mike Pence"? They must just have been joking, MAGA morons are known for their wit.

After violently attacking Capitol police, and causing serious injuries to many, including the later death of one of them, you cant seriously cite that as non violent?

"The doors were opened" were they? she was shot climbing through a door which the mob had smashed a hole in........I rest my case.

Everything I stated is on video. I state again, the only shots fired were from security. If that crowd were out for murder they would have shot people.

Everything you state is hyperbolic and in the case of the dead Policeman an outright lie that you choose to believe.

You lost the case.

There's a documentary on the BBC with a huge amount of unreleased footage of that day. It quite clearly shows the right wing nutjobs breaking and entering into the Capitol building.

The person who was shot was doing so climbing through a window of a barricaded door where officers were pointing their guns as it was next to the Representatives chamber with members still inside.

Also on the doc was the wife of a police officer who commited suicide immediately following those events. Incredibly sad and moving.

If I were you I'd find some time to watch it as what you're posting is totally inaccurate and rather embarrassing.

State what I posted that was inaccurate.....be specific.

I state again, there is footage of the doors of the building being opened to the crowd.

I state again, arguments suggesting that shooting that woman was justified are also arguments that support the idea that everyone who entered that building deserved to be shot.

I state again, the once again repeated contention that this protest was responsible for the death of a Policeman has been proven fallacious. He even texted to a relative before his heart attack that he was ok.

Once again, the accusation that this crowd were out for murder has been made here. However, it is dismissed by the fact....the actual fact that not one shot was fired by these protesters despite them being armed.

Yet you think I'm the one who is embarrassing? As for the BBC....what a joke, from the moment the Republicans took office they were hard to distinguish from CNN.

As for the suicide you mention, people commit suicide everyday, no doubt numerous people at that protest also have. To connect them to one event needs evidence and what evidence is there that they wouldn't have committed suicide regardless?

I will also make the point that currently the Democrats hold 37 people in solidary confinement for January 6th.

I don't see the Republicans winning in 2024 but if they do there will be plenty of people going to jail, I can assure you of that.

Great point, Ted.

Mentioning a black guy who made up a story about being racially attacked, as some kind of counter argument to the vast swathes of right wing MAGA loonies who perpetrate acts of domestic terrorism.

Maybe throw some Orwell quotes in for effect next time?

It wasn’t a counter argument. Just an example of someone portraying himself as a victim in the expectation that his story wouldn’t be questioned in the climate that’s been created.

The MAGA wearing loons at Education Weekly report that there is no actual domestic terrorism at School board meetings.

However, I have every faith the Biden administration can find some. Otherwise what? Defund the FBI?

The same posters who tie themselves in knots trying to justify the killing of George Floyd now want to take issue with a civilian being killed by the police, never mind the fact she was part of an armed mob smashing through doors and assaulting officers in a state building.

Can you imagine the response if a bunch of black kids broke into Parliament and started running round smashing stuff up... I'm sure you'd all declare them as non-violent and innocent and condemn police action against them.

How does the saying go..? "if they didn't have double standards they wouldn't have any"

For what it's worth, I obviously don't think this woman deserved to die, but she did far more to put herself at risk of that than George Floyd did - if you take issue with one and not the other, I'd ask yourself why.

I didn't justify George Floyd dying? I didn't agree with a knee used to the neck (though it was in police training manuals and used all over the world). However, I didn't agree with a first degree verdict either because he died of drugs and stress.

Democrat justice.

The problem with your argument is that people have indeed broken into parliament and guess what, they weren't shot. I don't agree with shooting non violent people.

So I'm afraid that double standard meme is firmly in the leftist court.

I state once again...for the third time I think...the claim that these people were out to murder doesn't hold water as they didn't fire one shot. Indeed, the one murder that was carried out has been whitewashed.

Justify maybe the wrong word then, apologies, but I think the point still stands - there's so much appetite to quote George Floyd's previous convictions and generally attempt to normalise what happened (you even do it above referencing training manuals) - Floyd's killing is just objectively a much worst police decision, in a far lower-risk situation, yet you seemingly object far more strongly to the shooting at the Capitol.

I don't recall a violent, armed mob ever breaking into Parliament - if they did, and someone got shot, I wouldn't be even a little bit surprised.

I didn't claim they were 'out to murder' but at the best they were looking for trouble, at worst looking for violence - this was a long way from a non-violent or peaceful crowd - they might not have drawn for their guns but they did draw for bats, pieces of scaffolding and anything else they could get their hands on to inflict damage to people and property.

We can agree that they shouldn't have been in the building. Also anyone being violent that day deserved the appropriate Police response.

Other than that I can't justify that woman dying....you didn't make the 'murder' and other claims and that's what I was responding to.

We could go on about Floyd but it's been done to death, if you excuse the pun. One has been cleared and another is banged up for life.

Go break into any business, with a hundreds strong mob, beat down the security guards, chant for the murder of the company executives, ransack the building, and attempt to get closer to your target (hanging Mike Pence, or killing Nancy Pelosi) and any security guard in America would be justified to use deadly force to repel the crazed mob with their bear spray and tactical gear.

This wasnt a business, this was the US Capitol.

This wasnt a security guard, this was a Capitol police officer.

The guy was doing his job, plain and simple.

You wanna go break into the US Capitol and run amok - please understand there are guys there with guns, she put herself in that situation, like all her other moron MAGA friends, and she paid the price.

Switch around the President getting sworn in and you'd have been getting none of the same arguments made being made.
