The wires are buzzing with praise about our play and the entertainment value the new team/style are bringing.

I am not sure how they divvy up the TV games, but I think we are playing such easy on the eye football and providing real drama in every game we play that we should be near the top of the pile both here and abroad. This can only reflect well on income and world fan base.

I almost didn't go, due to family reasons, but glad I did as it was another impressive display for 60/70 minutes. As others have said, would have been happy with a 2-2 draw before the match and certainly would have been when we were 1-0 down. But, losing so late on, again, felt like a defeat.

I couldn't see the McArthur challenge but by all accounts it deserved a red, in which case I would have been very happy with the point.

Be interesting to see how we do against Newcastle and in our November games. These really are the matches we should start to pick up some wins. If we don't, it will be a frustrating season however beautiful the football is.

It's worth repeating that The Emirates really is a library at times.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

See a certain 'Arsenal' legend vented his spleen against us, again.

Glad being proved wrong delight to watch the palace
Never thought I'd see such a positive team again
Gave a football team a lesson
Lovely to watch.
Wish Refs would prove me wrong.
At least occasionally.

TBF I thought his analysis was good and complimentary about us. Also said challenge on Benteke was a penalty and should have been looked at in more detail

In your opinion. I agree with PC that Vieira got that substitution wrong. The team became unbalanced with no decent out ball. IMO and, it's only an opinion of course, a better option would have been to bolster midfield with Hughes or even Schlupp so that we could at least press nearer the half-way line.

I would have brought Schlupp on to carry the ball forward

I much prefer games like that when they're not blowing up every 30 seconds[/i] I so agree, I'm not a fan of "soft" players diving on the floor every five minutes (even some of ours do it). That's why I always think of the 60's as a golden age. No soft c0ck football going on there, when men were men and sheep were scared.

Why was Pepe not booked for that horrendous dive?

Yes, this was my reckoning too. Powerful runs forward putting pressure on their defence. Instead we ceded the midfield and allow them to pressure us. One for PV to mull over.

For me the key was Gallagher lying on the floor and the ref allowing play to continue when we had the ball.
An Arsenal player put in a tackle and the ball went out of play.
Throw-in Palace.
But no, Mike Dean for some bizarre reason decides it is a drop ball to Palace, which we don't really want.
Joel Ward is now stuck against the touchline with limited options other than punt it forward and surrender possession.
Arsenal attack and we concede.
What a sickener.

What does last night mean for our front line against Newcastle? Both strikers scored, Olise again contributed when he came on. I doubt Benteke and Edouard would have been PV's first choice front line, but was forced with Zaha out. I don't think that Ayew is justifying his place in the team, when you look at what Olise is contributing per minutes played. A good problem to have I guess. Maybe Wilf doesn't get straight back in the team. Maybe Olise starts.

Yea he was a half time pundit on the dodgy stream i was watching. Wouldnt admit that we played them off the park ... just moaning and crying like a baby because Jimmy Mac didnt get a red card. Pathetic excuse of a man.

I agree. Similar to the situation against Brighton where we won a throw near halfway line but ref gave the infamous free kick. Small margins
