At the end of the day, IMHO this deal should never have gone through. I agree that some of the other deals that have been done by clubs over the years shouldn't have been allowed as well, but this for me takes it to a whole new level.

How anyone at the Premier League can look at the PIF and go "yep that's totally separate to the Saudi royal family, no way that money is drenched in blood" I just find beyond ridiculous, especially when the chairman of the PIF is the crown prince who's history speaks for itself. I think the banner is inflammatory, but in a good way as how else do we exhibit our distain and I don't disagree with it at all. Whilst the old bill have an obligation to follow up on a complaint, I'd be very surprised if anyone gets pulled up for it.

I don't know about anyone else, but personally if this deal had come to Palace then I'd walk away from the club as it would no longer be the Palace that I've supported for nearly 40 years. Yes all clubs need investment and we're all hoping for a sugar daddy to come in and splash the cash, but this kind of investment, where they are so untouchable that they don't care that we know where the money came from, would mean our club would be built on the effective slavery, exploitation and deaths of so many.

I don't think I could support that.

There is also the point of basically being a plastic team, supported by plastics, having mercenary players and buying success. I don't think Palace would feel right without the hardship. I don't know what it's like to be a Man City fan or a Chelsea fan, but it doesn't look that appealing to me. I can't see any point in teams such as PSG either. You pay a couple of hundred million for someone who just leaves on a free. How stupid can it get?
