We are in a group of 4 the others being Sutton, Wimbledon and Portsmouth. The top two go though to the next stage.

In the event of a game being drawn each side gets a point, but, a penalty shoot out then takes place and the winner gets an extra point.

How does that work? If Wimbledon also beat Sutton we will all be on 6 points and currently Palace have the worst GD

Agreed we really need Sutton to beat Wimbledon or Hammersmith Portsmouth to improve our goal difference....

Basically, we have to better whatever Wimbledon do.

I was wondering why all of our three group games have been away from home?

It's the rules. All of the U23 teams have to play their group games away. Could be at home in knockout rounds if we win our group (unlikely at the moment).
Worked out quite well as all local teams. Haven't been to Sutton for a while & got mates who are Sutton fans and it was nice to visit Plough Lane for first time. Great little ground.
All in all very enjoyable hope we enter again next season.
