Lewis Hamilton has conducted himself with much integrity during this farce. I don't suppose there's much that can be done but it's a bit of a body blow.

I agree with you steeleye about how the outcome was arrived at. It was farcical and it made F1 look like an amateur production.

My contention is that Hamilton and Mercedes have dominated for 8 years, including this year as Constructors, and it is refreshing to see Verstappen with Red Bull dent their armour and their arrogant attitude.

A whole lot of changes next year so it'll be interesting to see how that pans out.

So it's ok to 'fix' the rules when it's the underdog? Just so that we get a different winner? That is what you are saying.

A win is a win, as long as it fits the agenda.

The problem with that is that, sometimes the rules get changed against you, and you then have no defense. Like the advantage not given to Palace in the FA Cup final. But I doubt that you agreed with that change in the rules. But I assume you know that. You ain't stupid.

max won fair and square. Lewis bottled it on the last lap.

No one is going to accept any change to the results now.

The result will not be changed as we all now know - but your fair and square comment shows an inability to understand the rules of F1.
I am not a Hamilton lover but last Sunday was a disgrace and fair and square is absolutely not the right answer.
As it happens - "Lewis bottled it" you say - he nearly had Verstappen but his tyres were wrecked and it just wasn't possible.
Verstappen is a great driver but he was given that title on a plate and so his first championship is tarnished.
The referee - Massi in this case - should not be the centre of attention - it is about the competitors and not him but everyone is still talking about him and that is a shame.

F1 not convincing anybody.

F1 for everybody, is an immense money-pit.

For motor racing you need a guide to bankruptcy.

Credit to those teams who must be racing entirely out of love as it is unlikely they will win anything.

And now this I think there will be withdrawals.

And Lewis?

He has achieved mote than anyone before, quit while you are ahead imo.
