and I assume " net zero " what Milliband's contribution to politics is.

That's unfair, he contributed to Corbyn becoming leader

If you took the time to listen to Milliband discuss energy policy around climate change/net zero you'd actually find out he's incredibly well informed and across his brief.

But please do continue to post partisan nonsense.

It does feel like a waiting game for the riots to kick off now.

True not helped by the rail unions threatening to strike because they want 10-11% pay rise. Of course they don’t earn enough now.

Economy almost grinding to a halt': UK private sector growth falls to its weakest point since last winter's lockdown

12 years of tory mis-rule.

Watch them clear off with the loot.

At least we may have a choice between putting petrol in the motor or having the train fares bankrupt us!

I have to say and it's terrible to admit but we (family) do live quite comfortably, very comfortably compared to many (in UK) so I do fear when even I start to turn half an eye to the rising costs of things. Medical worries in the family now too. I very rarely stop to feel for the most unfortunate but even now I do worry for them if not myself/family.

You do have to imagine if you even take, for example, two young, aspiring middle class people as a couple (as a large majority seem to be these days and a few living close to us) it only takes one to lose a job or suffer some sort of tragedy and they are right in schtuck, let alone not even being able to live life how they once did. It's comforting to think of single mums living on council estates or people with long term addiction problems being the only vulnerable people but that's really not the case.

I'm no Tory and I do loathe Labour slightly more if truth be told but what really does concern me is that neither party seem to have any real answer to mounting problems. BJ and co. now apparently having parties in lockdown and what not shows just how much contempt and distance they apparently have for the rest of the population.

I did read something quite interesting the other day about a phenomena entitled 'the illusion of democracy' where most countries now have two-party systems that are essentially sides of the same coin. Perhaps I want to believe in it's substance as it encapsulates exactly how I feel these days. Either way, I don't want to hear about 'who did what' anymore, I would like someone to come up with some genuine answers/solutions... and see them through. I hold very little if no hope however.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

So you are saying, it"s not worth pulling in only £2 billion from a wealthy company, that"s already said you can do it without us changing our plans going forward , as what will we do next year? Two, thousand million? Its a bit like saying, if Steve was giving away free season tickets to those who have had one for the past 5 years, and declining the offer because what will I do the season after next?

No I’m not saying that at all and you know that. Tax it and dish it out to who ‘needs’ it ( not who wants it) btw. I hope it helps the needy.
My point is that if this situation continues into next year or farther what then; that’s my point and I will add the caveat that we might be at war so who really gives a s*** then.
I do think we need to add that if COVID ( however it was dealt with rightly or wrongly) hadn’t happened we wouldn’t be here financially. 353 billion better off ; that’s without your addition CP before that comes out AGAIN!

So if bungle and his CONservative cronies hadn"t nicked the £147 thousand million ppe cash, we would be £500 billion better off!

Bungle asking Sue Grey to drop her report(the times), thus interfering with british justice-should be added to this incompetence thread- so much incompetence to see that i"m suprised it took me till this time of the day to add this-the british pm interfering with an inquiry about him- as he was at so many parties!
