So the 120 billion bit in a previous post means what exactly. I think it calculates to over 60 billion up. Like I said never let the truth ruin a lefty rant !

Different opinon polls will have different methodologies, so it's not that useful to compare one with another to get the current trend.  Opinium are the lot who have said Labour have a 2 point lead, they release their polls fortnightly and consistently have Labour with a small lead, 3 points in the last two they have done, so not a big change and again could be down to methodolgical issues and probably with in confidence levels.
Having siad that you point is still right it  would still be a bit of worry if you are Labour supporter, so probably not to most HOL users,  that Starmer is not further ahead in the polls. I'm hoping he is keeping his powder dry for the run up to the next election and wants to face Boris so happy to sit tight for a until then.
Boris is a known so the 28% are probably committed, while Starmer is still a bit unknown, makes you wonder what way the other 46% of voters would go?

In the context of all that has happened, this is staggering...

The Tories only 2% points behind Labour and Starmer still seen as a worse choice for PM than Johnson.

That useless, bumbling fool is going to actually win the next general election.

Polls are always flawed even with the best of intentions. If someone approaches me with a clipboard or calls me at home they get short shrift, I am sure a lot of people are like that.

So how do you gauge the opinions of people who refuse to be interviewed? Additionally in my opinion people on the left are more passionate about their politics and more likely to respond to a pollster and you have a built in bias even though the pollsters are trying to be fair.

Back on point Starmer should be slaughtering Johnson.

Scaled up, that’s current government fiscal policy, isn’t it?

Johnson living in a pantomime world. Starmer barely working part-time to oust him. Does Starmer really want the job ?

That was a bit of palaver, I must accept. With the timing the most interesting, at least to a saddo like me, part.

I could bore you rigid about my theory that it was the polling companies who helped f*** up the Remain campaign in 2016, primarily because their combined methodology was so poor (and following on from the debacle of 2015) that it created a false sense of security for the Leave campaign meaning that they never upped their game.

But I won't. It is a Sunday after all, the sun is shining and there are larks to be had, out on the cobbles!.

I'm surprised that no one has posted this.

Thousands of pounds of freebies not declared by Sir Keir.

Surely he has to go

It is probably just a clerical error but if Boris must go after accepting a piece of cake well the rules are the rules

Even if he didn't break any rules why is the leader of the opposition accepting all these freebies.
