Anti-EU, not keen on migration (British jobs for British workers-remember that?) and so on. In fact, always rather liked the line about how the Labour Party was more informed by Methodism than Marxism. It is only from the 80's onwards and accelerating at a rate since 1997, that it has become so ludicrously socially progressive. If Labour were to become more socially conservative, then I suspect their economic policies would receive a far more sympathetic ear than people realise.

Around Windrush, 80 percent were against the immigration....it's entirely due to social engineering.....just like you believe in buzz words from your era that didn't exist before. As can be seen with gay marriage. Culture is downstream from law.....people are forced to comply and adapt. There is no such thing as being 'more liberal'.....The elites hand down the system with its media, 'education' and messaging and those within it adapt over time. Edited by Stirlingsays (07 Jul 2022 4.24pm) Other examples of social engineering would be the decades of anti-immigration rhetoric pumped out by tabloids resulting in a generation of people utterly obsessed by the topic. Or the decades of anti-EU rhetoric pumped out via the same platforms, and more recent questionable (at best) use of social media data by the leave campaign, which have resulted in Brexit. 80% were against Windrush at the time because they were 'socially engineered' to believe they were an inferior race and somehow genetically more criminal. People were opposed to gay marriage because they were socially engineered (predominantly by the church) to believe it was sinful and disgusting. The idea that these were somehow the 'original' views untainted by social engineering is just silly.
