Did you ever go to that wooden club in Beckenham? Le Trex? Always kicked off in there any time I went, lots of nice local girls to. My cuz has stopped going to palace and supports Bromley now, strange.

No never went up town much. Lived near Hayes. My brother used to go to Bromley and was talking about the days he used to have tea and cakes with the players and a handful of fans. They're so much bigger these days. Frankly, lower league and non league football are often a better experience than the Premier League. I have Galway Utd now - always bloody raining. Funnily enough, they have (the crappiest) Ultras you'd ever see, but they sing our songs. Apparently, they saw the HF and copied that.

Ha,I saw they had football violence after the cup final last week in Dublin, I thought that"s one thing they don"t need to copy from here!

People smuggled a load of drink in and had a party. A bit of Argy bargy, nothing really. A lot of young people still blowing off steam after restrictions for most of the last two years.

Glad to hear it, the member for medway is holding and folding! Yeah, it seemed to be built out of wood, remember wooden stairs to next floor with no carpet, an accident waiting to happen, especially with smoking back in the day inside.Yeah, I loved a bit of reggae, reminds me of hot summers in Croydon with Bob blaring out or police an thieves, we were just at the right age to, It goes down hill thereafter, who knew?

Its a horrendous result, that is for sure. And will send shock-waves through the Tories.

But lets not forget that this is a seat in which Labour traditionally comes second (I think the Lib Dems managed it once, by a handful of votes). If Labour had won it, then you could argue that the Tories were on the way out but this was your classic, mid term by-election upset. Which the Lib Dems have solid form for.

However, please don't think I am underestimating the hurt this has caused the Tories and Johnson in particular. What is clear is that there is a concerted effort, from within the Conservative movement, to try and get rid of Johnson. Personally I suspect Gove is behind it (notice how quiet he has been of late) but the waters are pretty muddy at the moment.

May 2022 is the crunch time for Boris. Local elections. Do badly in those and he goes. As simple as that.

But don't underestimate him. The lying bit is full-on proven but the buffoon? Well, we will find out if it is all still an act on not between now and May next year.

If he decides to ensure the wife stays in the kitchen and puts a bit of steel into his team he could still well turn this around. He is a very shrewd, and far more ruthless than most people realise, political operator. And two years ago landed the Tories with a huge majority.

Labour should have won this seat. Instead, they lost votes.

The Tories have taken a kicking without a shadow of a doubt. But the Lib-Dems are not the opposition. They are not the ones who will be challenging them to form a Government next time around.

Looking at the vote share it looks like a lot of tactical votes from other parties to Lib Dems too. If this translates to other seats, and the opposition parties get their act together to encourage this then the Tories could be in big trouble.

Agree. In my opinion the Tories should just act and remove the idiot now. The only sensible (in my opinion) replacement would be Sunak. Otherwise we’re going to have this long, drawn out process where, by the time someone else comes in, it’ll be too late. Johnson’s become a liability, a clown on the domestic and world stage. However I genuinely see no actual ‘leader’ anywhere in parliament, across any party. We are, unfortunately, politically weak and inept.
