I agree with this. Anderson is an old school constituency MP who actually cares about his constituents.

The personification of the Red Wall voter, no grey in his world, only black and white.

These days forthrightness is not something MPs generally embrace.

He's a moron and the fact someone like him can make it as an MP speaks volumes as to why this country is where it is.

It looks like when the tories are called s*** it sticks with no real reason why apart from the nhs not performing or pay rises really not what’s expected or perceived to be high enough. When the left are put to task you need evidence, facts, figures etc. I am so happy that the left might get power and the reality of low level communism/ socialism will hit these people hard in the face, and defo the pocket. The future isn’t rosy but it will be very painful for many.

What policies are Labour proposing that could be considered 'low level communism/socialism'? Do you think Kier Starmer is a socialist?

There are so many factors, figures etc. to demonstrate quite how bad this government have been, and many of them are posted on this thread - you just chose to ignore them all, stick your fingers in your ears, and continue parroting decade-old clichés.

Anyone who still thinks the conservatives can claim to be the economically responsible ones is living in fantasy land and not interested in objective reality.

Forcible redistribution of wealth, no private property and the establishment of Cominterns. Sorry, that was Corbyn.

All governments of whatever party engage in what could be roughly described as 'low level communism/socialism'.

Perhaps this attitude is why Labour are not actually liked in the north.

Many of their votes are tribal and based on disliking the Tories rather than liking Labour. Indeed, Brexit showed that loyalty to what Labour believe in is very thin.

Nail on head.

Neo communism.

As with real communism, the reality is that the wealth class get to choose their own rules, while everybody else has to live with the ideological bullsh1t.

How, people must be thinking, does Raab continue to hold down a very senior post, when if it was anybody else they would be at least suspended, and in most of our cases, sacked.

Sunak cannot be envied dealing with the endless slide of tory corruption and sleaze.

But you do have to be tough, he is not up to it and his party feels he is another dud.

A new direction is best for the country.

LOL

In the scheme of things this is hardly a big deal. Candidates have lists of party supporters if the press are around whose door to you think they knock on. Party supporters know not to give the game away usually.

What happens when Sir Keir goes to an NHS hospital to meet nurses, do you seriously think he gets a rando group or does he luckily bump into a group of staff gathered by the local union convenor?

They all do it this guy just got caught.

PS
There is another trick they play on the opposition. Let's say a Tory candidate knocks on the door of a a Labour supporter and hasn't twigged it. Does the householder say:

a) F off you Tory scum blah blah or
b) You know I am undecided but I really like some of your party's policies why not come in and have a cup a tea and tell me more.

If your wondering B is the correct answer, why because you are wasting the candidates time stopping him seeing other voters.

One more point

Yep, I think we can file this under, 'it's ok when they do it'.

However, I think we can say it's the spin doctoring part of politics that's underhand and that most of us view with contempt.

But politicians will always do what works for them and manipulating the public is their bread and butter. As is the case with so many industries and professions.

I don't understand your point - what attitude, and why would that be reflective of anything to do with Labour?

Labour are not actually liked anywhere, mainly cos they're not very good.
