My own viewpoint is that there is a large degree of incompetency in the Tory Government. The cause of this is not Brexit, the EU, Ukraine, Covid or any other stuff they put up as an excuse. It is more likely a mix of complacency, media show-boating, looking after themselves first, and actual incompetency.
I am upset we have a shower-of-5hlt opposition, but it's the tories doing all the stuff.
Restricting rights to protest
Restricting workers rights (seeking to ban striking)
Letting fuel and utility companies run amok with prices.
Running down services, like rail, buses and social care.

All i see on TV are charity adverts for African children who need cosmetic surgery, stray dogs and aid for poor countries.

Take a look around where you live. See half empty shops on the High Street, visible increases in homelesness, queues at A&E. If I was in the jungle camp in Calais, I'd be heading back to wherever I came from, not jumping in a boat to cross the channel.

In a straight fight between party and the national interest, party wins every time.

Is she unconscious, incapable of intelligent life?

The more damage they inflict, in this case their traditional farming supporters, the more they rejoice in it.

She was genuinely demeaning to Minette Batters and then hopeless in the Q&As.

Starmer went down surprisingly well by contrast. Farmers Weekly says he is far stronger than previously thought

That's a first all farmers ever seem to do is complain.

I joked a while ago that the easiest way to eliminate the backlog of asylum claims was to rubber stamp them. Oh well careful what you wish for.

Apparently anyone from these countries it's a slam dunk

Afghanistan, Eritrea, Libya, Syria and Yemen.

In other unrelated news the number of asylum claims from Afghanistan, Eritrea, Libya, Syria and Yemen has suddenly rocketed the government is at a loss to explain why.

The levels of betrayal are simply staggering.

Politics is very much an old 'boys' network...or whatever 'inclusive' noun the woke morons aren't offended by. It's a soft form of corruption of course but back in less egaritarian times you still tended to get the brightest and more competent in charge....at least from that class.

The political class need to be people of high IQ but also....and very importantly, people who have proven themselves successful in the professions.

There should be no brownie points for being a minority or whatever other crap the idiots have fostered into the national culture.

They need to end the academic pipeline where someone can get a job in government without having proven themselves any better at anything else other than passing exams.

Just as important is loyalty to the country.....this fecking country. The decline in that within the middle and higher classes is just as much a reason for this nation's decline as any other. Some of the reasons for that lack of loyalty I won't go into here.

Sadly most of them aren't worth the lifestyle that this country has given them......much of it earnt off the back of previous generations and being roundly squandered by them.

The tories are turning the UK into an international laughing stock'.

Max Hastings ex editor of the Daily Telegraph, a rock solid tory if ever there was one.

And he's right, the USA and Europe do not hate us, they are just mystified as to why Great Britain should wish to inflict such constant self-damage over the past 15 years.

Hardly! According to his Wikipedia entry: "Hastings has at different times voted for all three major British Political parties. He announced his support for the Conservative Party at the 2010 general election, having previously voted for the Labour Party at the 1997 and 2001 general elections. He said that 'four terms are too many for any government' and described Gordon Brown as 'wholly psychologically unfit to be Prime Minister'. At elections since he has voted for the Liberal Democrats."
