7 weeks of VDB salary pays for Plange - better business for us.

Dele Alli, Berkeley and Aaron Ramsey - no thanks to any of those.

Keeping Jesurun RS rather than loaning him out - good move.

Only time will tell

Ideally I would like to have added a central midfield player to bed him in before next season.
If you look at current options we have,
Gallagher (not here next season)
Kouyate (out of contact at the end of the season I believe)
Hughes
Mcarthur ( very good, but older and injury prone now)
Luka ( past his best )
Jairo ( a bit part player)
Schlupp (not really a central midfield player).
I have excluded Eze who management see as a number 10 or wide player.

This shows a real lack of potential options for in central midfield for next season.
Of course by then Mcarthur may be fit, Kouyate may sign a new contract, Luka may rediscover form and Jairo may develop.
But realistically this doesn’t seem likely.

Couldn’t agree more, but if Ambrose is to be believed (and he is still heavily involved in the club), then there will be some business in the summer. Two defensive minded/box to box midfielders probably a minimum with one centre back and a fullback.
