As to McNeil, I would love him at Palace but we'd surely have to move someone on to make it happen and would Burnley really sell their best player during a relegation dogfight? Seems highly improbable to me.

What club would be after him and would he be willing to leave for them ? Looking at the PL no team stands out at all. Think his chances of a much bigger club than us have evaporated about 2 seasons ago. He could try abroad but that is a big step that many professional footballers from the PL don't try. Cannot see a move this window to raise funds for any other player.

I would have expected Burnley to pull a few results together by now. Looking rather dodgy for them right now.

So, if Burnley went down and McNeill was available would he come to us ?

1. We would not spend £40m on any player (that statement is of the opinion that Gallagher would be way out of our price range).
2. He is from Rochdale, so I would think he would prefer to stay in northern England (perhaps midlands at best)

Maxwell Cornet on the other hand is a much better bet.
