Echo what everyone else said….happy to take a point.

We were outplayed for long periods of the match. They had more ‘desire’ to win the ball than we did.

No good complaining about who was good/bad etc.

Let’s just be happy with point and look forward to playing a Liverpool team who have a midweek match before they play us…and missing their 2 best strikers.

A point, but let's be totally honest: apart from one move of quality we were absolutly abject. PV needs to look at himself and ask himself if square pegs in round holes just to suit his favoured system is appropriate with the players at hand.

Spot on.

If you line up 4-3-3 against 4-4-2, you face being overrun in midfield. Granted, you hope to cause the opposition problems by playing three up front. But only play three up front if you've got three strikers. I don't see either Eze or Olise in that role. I hope Eze and Olise can play in the same team, but I wonder whether they aren't the same player.

They have their best game, we have our worst and they still don't win. Respect the point.

Basically the complete opposite of the first game against them.

Please Patrick get a decent right back who can play football in this transfer window because Ward is becoming a liability. At fault for the equalizer and general distribution was dire. Great servant to the club but we must upgrade.
Also why do we play so narrow at the back, it was pretty obvious that Lamptey was going to be a speed threat yet we left him in acres of space esoecially in the last 15 minutes.
Overall poor performance but we got a point!

Agree completely and said the same at half time if you check back.

Wardy can be a warrior in his own box but is a liability going forwards. He does not make good decisions in the final third and we are weak down the right flank because of it.

My worry is that we are not looking for a new RB due to getting Ferguson but he has been out for so long its putting a lot on him being the answer which I do not think is wise. We really could pick up a RB for 2 to 5 million this January.

Mateta is by far our best centre forward, why not Rak-Sakyi if Olise was knackered, strange, but a point is a point

Phew so lucky to get a point from that. Need to be braver and move higher up the pitch. Brighton just suffocated everything we tried to do. Butland was fantastic.

I think some on here are a bit too critical, that’s a good point, especially when you consider, Butland has still only played a few games, the back four have played fairly regular but all of the mid three and front three have hardly played together, just a handful of games for some

This all shows how we miss Ayew down the right! With him around, Ward is so much better..

Got away with it tonight, didn’t deserve the point. I love Wardy but he is not up to it now, every game he drops a bollock.

I thought Mateta was a good switch, but I would have put Edouard out wide and taken Eze off.

Brighton were better than us tonight, as we were the better side at our place…
