I fell for Derby its very hard for fans to except that your club may not be around anymore , but what i find strange Middlesbough and Wycombe are blaming Derby for not being good enough to go up or stay up , i looked at both teams results , by there reckoning they played Derby between 20 and 30 times a season , no they just wasnt good enough to beat the other teams in the league , thats how i feel and hope Derby pull the rabbit out of the hat like what we did

I haven't paid attention so could be wrong but my understanding is that derby did a Portsmouth and spent money they didn't have which put them in a false position.

The administrator is trying to get the 2 clubs to drop their claim so they can sell the club which suggests they have a case.

Unless they can reach an agreement over compensation this one goes to the lawyers so who knows how it will turn out.

I think because of this the EFL are tightening their rules and about time.

I feel for Derby too - but ( I am open to being corrected here)
I thought the Middlesbrough / Wycombe wanderers issue(s) were that Derby broke the FFP rules & went into liquidation -

Middlesbrough & Wycombe were saying that whatever punishment Derby were going to receive for this rule breaking should have been decided & administered before any promotion / relegation places were decided, not carried over to the following season.

I do understand about the rule breaking but both clubs only played them twice , how many clubs did derby beat to give middlesbough a chance of getting promotion and save wycombe from regulgation , at the end of the day they wasnt good enough , man city wouldnt have this issue it would all be swept under the carpet ,

Again I could be wrong here & would be happy to stand corrected -

Dosent the amount of rule breaking become reflected in the punishment, i.e the club that broke FFP by £10,000,000.00 gets fined 5 points & the club that broke it by say £100,000,000.00 gets fined 15 points (obviously fictional numbers & points totals)

I dont think the FA have ever worked on an every game -
result(s) points countback, have they ?

Perhaps I haven't properly understood the Middlesbrough / Wycombe claims

Rooney's done much better than I thought he would. In very difficult circumstances too. I would think bigger things await.

Also commendable that he has hung in there through what must be very difficult circumstances, maybe its been to some degree through lack of realistically better opportunities, but for sure he has done himself no harm & as you say, probably earnt himself some credibility for the future.
