Stop sh!tting your pants, this is the bravery you need to transition into a ball playing team. e.g. not have a back five that panic and go long whenever pressured

Maybe he picked the guy that is better with his feet, that helps us keep the ball and build attacks?

Why people want a keeper that just lumps it every time is beyond me. Lets aspire to be better?

well the opposition can't score if the ball is in their half and as we usually play Tekkers or Mateta upfront, both of whom are 6ft 3 (ish) surely they can win the odd ball. If not the 2nd ball is winnable to restart the attack.
As an example our 2nd goal v Wolves was a ball into Tekkers. He didn't win it but Conor got onto the 2nd ball and the rest is history

I dont think Butland is too far behind Guaita. As has been said Guita should come out for more crosses and also would like to see him distribute it quicker sometimes. He hugs it to his chest and make out like hes looking to throw it out quick but he never does. Just waits for the oppo to reset, all get back in position then he rolls it to a centre half and we have 11 players to get past instead of 7 or 8.

I expect PV will put Butland in goal against Hartlepool. Keep him pressing to be first choice.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Read my final sentence. There is more than one way of playing and having a variety of ways top get the ball forward is pretty much how all teams play. What eventually happens anyway - either Mitchell or Ward lump it forward or Andersen tries a floated pass.

If you persist with playing it out from the back when it's not working as was the case on Sunday Liverpool were all over us was just stupid. Similarly when we played Newcastle and finished with 4 strikers on the pitch yet spend the last 5 minutes passing it back to the keeper.

Even Millwall sussed our tactic out pretty quickly - let the centre backs have it but close down the midfield options. Currently that is just Hughes

They also cant score if we have the ball.

Roy tactics. Lump ball forward, don't win ball, defend deeper and deeper. Moan that we play uninspiring football. Get a new manager who transforms the way we play. Moan that its too risky.

Also vs Wolves Benteke was in the box when he missed that header. A little different from a keeper going long.

Let’s see how he gets on at Watford. As much as I dislike them I do think Roy can put in place structure and organisation to their place. They some decent players so I for one wouldn’t be surprised if they stay up.

About as much as talking about Royball. This negative pointless s*** has taken over most of the threads on here. Losing an argument? I know I'll just criticise Roy, that'll sort it.
