I was reading that Man Utd want whoever signs to pay his 140K a week wages & a signing on fee?
World class (Loan) signing or not, It's like leasing a 250K Rolls Royce for ten weeks at 25K a week then handing back the keys to the showroom.

I really have NO idea about locker room dynamics as related to wages, but I'd speculate the prevailing sentiment revolves around likability and productivity. Unfortunately we've seen plenty of players being well-paid (not at VDB's level) who have contributed little for extended periods of time. No need to name names.

So it looks like we are bringing in a replacement for Eze and Mateta in VDB and Nketiah. We cannot defend corners and we need a right back and holding midfielder. Not sure what is going on here. Hopefully nothing happens before the deadline, or perhaps something else.

It would seem his wages are not £140k but probably irrelevant now Everton are sniffing around

Where do you get the idea that Nketiah is coming to Palace? Arsenal, allegedly, turned down our bid. Will Eze be PL fit this season? I dont think so

Why waste (big) money on a short-time lease when Eze (our own) needs game time and getting match-fit?

I really thought we had sorted out our transfer policy over last summer. We finally focused on young, quality players who were in form. Olise and Guehi joined off the back of excellent seasons in the championship and have arguably been our best (permanent) signings.

I don’t understand why our targets now are 2 players who have barely kicked a ball this season in VDB and Nketiah. They are both ridiculously overpriced and limited to positions we already have lots of options. The lack of consistency with our transfer policy is baffling.

I am hopeful that the current big club and big name talk is a smokescreen for useful import action without interference. COYP

I think the short honest answer is - We dont score enough goals out of the chances we create - PV says at almost every post match interview that if we had taken more of our chances the result would have been better.

Schlupp. He’s good he’s permanent and he is not going to cost £6m for 10-15 games.

But is the cost relevant to us supporters after all it isn't our money being spent
