As the transfer window will be open until 31st January, and Roy is now Watford Manager, I wonder who might be transferred away from CPFC to Watford within this window. Perhaps a couple of Academy loans.

He'll be looking for been there done that grafters, ideally with a bit of mongrel (as they say in these parts) to fight to the bitter end, and add some steel through the team. Watford lost a lot of this when Doucore and Deeney went. Luka of two or three years ago would provide this. I don't know if Roy would have sufficient confidence in his legs to do the job now. He'd definitely take players like Ayew and Kouyate if he could, but i. we definitely need them, and ii. why would we want to help Watford out if there's a chance we could ultimately be in a relegation battle with them? I would suggest an experienced CB and CDM will be highest priority. Kelly is the only other one from our squad I can think he might take and we might be prepared to give him. Nah. He's there for a good time, not a long time. He'll be looking for been there done that grafters, ideally with a bit of mongrel (as they say in these parts) to fight to the bitter end, and add some steel through the team. Watford lost a lot of this when Doucore and Deeney went.
