Chris Armstrong in trouble (again)

It’s true - someone mentioned in earlier he falls in between - Wright/bright era and. Dougie/ Morrison / AJ era so gets overlooked.

He was a very very good striker who scored goals from nothing and different types of shots, headers and tap ins.

I do feel sorry that he doesn’t command more respect or nostalgic romantism from the fan base as I remember watching games knowing that he would score and provide some excitement and reasons to look forward to watching palace on a game day.

i think that was me, but you’re right, he was a great all round striker and at the time it felt we’d finally come close to replacing Ian Wright with the failure of Marco Gabbiadini, although not his fault imo, but that’s another thread
