I personally feel the Jones era has run its course. Seems stale now. The highpoint was last world cup. New blood and new perspective required. Was going to say Mark McCall but he seems to have something going on at present.
Other 6 nations sides seem to have progressed. England seem to be going slightly backwards. I don't know who the young scrum halves are but something needs to be done there. And pick two natural centers: it's getting annoying. Italy's best chance they will ever have is probably now. They still won't do it. Don't think they have ever beaten England - I could be wrong.

Hoping that Wales beat Scotland this afternoon. Dan Biggar captains the team and wins his 100th cap for his country. Bloomin' fine kicker, young Dan. Will be a tough match for them though - at least 8 key players out injured.

Mrs POG will be glued to the TV. I'll watch the first half before I turn my attention to a certain game of football in West London.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

i'm still trying to work out the rules of Rugby. I'll be cheering for Wales this afternoon, with half an eye towards the Brentford game.

Been a fine addition to the Union team i support, Northampton Saints, also been a big loss for us while Six Nations is on, but, other clubs are in the same boat.

England give away too many penalties - France Ireland looks a cracker.

Yep, Saints did miss him (and others) last night. Leicester are doing well this season after a couple of mediocre years.

We too, like to see Northampton do well. Big fans of George North in his prime. Poor sod had a few too many blows to the head for my liking.

So Wales win 20-17 & Biggar got 15 points.

Going around Aberystwyth yesterday morning, the supermarkets were rammed, with queues for the car parks and McDonalds Drive-in.
Got to about 1pm, and everyone is heading home and Aberystwyth is like a ghost town.
Fantastic win for Wales that they worked really hard to grind that out. Referee was absolutely top-notch. And in the freezing cold and pouring rain, real tropical Cardiff weather.
Top work by Wales, and next stop Twickers.

That's a bit cruel, hope she managed to escape.

Italy haven't beaten us yet and I don't think it will start today.

So, FH, your little hidey-hole is Aberystwyth eh? Visited when our daughter thought she might go to university there. My wife had a boyfriend who used to drive her to a Chinese restaurant from Knighton (which is about as far the other side of Wales as you can get). She says that, at the time it was the only Chinese in Wales.

Anyway, yes, a good win for a very understrength side. If England don't beat Italy this afternoon there definitely is trouble at t' mill.

BTW, have you read Aberystwyth Mon Amour by Malcolm Pryce? Funny book.

Me too. Half the time I don't know why the referee has awarded a penalty or decided that it should be a scrum. The rules of football are pretty easy to follow and as such it makes the game accessible to a wide audience. I always feel rugby, with its oblique rules, has an exclusivity that stops it from having the same mass appeal.
