I doubt anyone will ever meet the club's valuation of him. Our asking price is likely to have dropped to between 40 and 50 million by now yet any interested buyers would probably not be willing to pay more than 30m. Unless you happen to be Newcastle I suppose.
Only way I see him leaving now is if Parish drops his valuation right down (unlikely) or he runs down his contract and walks on a free in two and a bit years time.

Get £30m for him and wages off the bill. He has gone backwards over the years. He is becoming a liability. Olise and Eze out wide with a young speedy striker is the way forward.

Hopefully, but with 1 year left on his contract and him being nearly 30 when the new season starts, we'll do well to get £25m for him IMO. But we do need to move into a post-Zaha era ASAP so that our burgeoning talented youngsters can be allowed to blossom without Wilf distractions.

First the Love ... amazing contribution over the years.

The now .... bit of a crap shoot, not quite the anticipation of old and quite often frustrated by not passing fast enough into space or running into dead ends and loosing possession. No longer the best player on the field for Palace, seems unable to adapt to the PV systems. Now and then he has a brilliant moment, but in general he is not making a game winning impact. Histrionics and tantrums means refs are not giving him the fouls and therefore puts the team at a disadvantage as the ball is lost to the opponent.

The future .... seems that Wilf is taking a spot that should be going to one of the other younger forwards, crowding out Eze and co. Now he is back, the team has lost its balance.

Conclusion .... he should leave in the summer, head held high, before it gets ugly. The club should get a decent price, but not stand in his way with an outrageous demand.

At his peak he was unstoppable, now he is a useful forward and probably still the most likely to create something out of nothing. The issue is the rest of his game, with a massive amount of inconsistency being seen, one minute looking like the old Wilf (like the goal at Norwich) the next minute tripping over his own feet or misplacing a pass from 12 yards.

I do still think he looks committed though and works hard for the team, the problem is his passing and dribbling has become erratic and rather than winning fouls like he used to he's just losing the ball; players often don't even need to foul him anymore. If you could combine Ayew's input outside the 18-yard box with Zaha's inside it then we'd have a great player.

I said this last season, but I hope he rediscovers his old form for the last dozen or so games and gets a move to a CL in the summer so at least he goes out on a high. Increasingly this seems like a fantasy though.
