Why am I not surprised people going over the top again he did nothing special in this game he bagged two easy goals towards the end of the game against a team which really looked poor.

So many here clearly do not watch the full games this is the same as the journalists that give reports for games they dont even watch the full games.

He looked ok for first 10min then did almost nothing until towards the last 15min.

The one good thing was he wasn't doing his standard sulking etc if he can continue that good I don't expect he will.

Ah, ok. Good job we have your incisive take on this. You need to get out a bit more, GM.

Jackson.. Wan Bissaka.... Sansom.. Nicholas.. Cannon.. Guehi.... Zaha... Thomas.. Byrne... Holton.. Rogers.. that should do it..

The tragic thing is, I think you are being serious!

Let's be honest: Wilf has lost some of his paces, he gives away the ball sometimes too easily, BUT his change of attitude means we can live with that. His work rate and those two wonderful goals at Vicarage Road means he's still our "main man!".
long may it continue, pretty certain the manager has whispered him a few words lately.

Nope I said 3 great goals Mateta's goal was important as it was the first but it's not a great goal unless you consider every goal Palace score is great.

A lot of people are simply disappointed that he has lost the pace and a lot of the skills he had in his prime. He is still a decent player who is worthy of starting in a mid-table EPL team.
Why constantly criticize someone who is earning a lot of money from a contract he signed years ago? That is how contracts work.

Also people need reminding how we got to the EPL. Largely because of Wilf. Not only from feeding Glenn assists in the Championship, but two goals against Brighton (not tap ins either, one a diving header (!!) and the other a skilful shot on the turn). Then, of course, there was the penalty in the Final.

Think how much money and prestige the club has earned by being in the EPL all these years. If we had not done the Play Offs in 2013 we may still be festering mid-table in the Championship a la Millwall.

Unfortunately, Zaha is not a Messi or Ronaldo who kept much of their talents into their thirties. But IMHO, at his peak he was not only the best dribbler of the ball in the EPL, but possibly Europe.

Zaha is back. Three good games on the trot. Three very good goals. Pleasure to see. Keep it going Wilf. Great to have you back on form.

Wilf is holding all the Cards, he is offered a reduced contract, or is sold probably for about 15m in the summer, enough to buy a younger replacement, you cant leave it for another year and let him walk away for free, that is terrible business sense.

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn
