This coming from Slovak news re the peace talks

For the War to stop

Putin is demanding Ukraine to de-militarise & wants sovereignty over the Crimean Peninsula.

Zelensky has demanded all Russian military leave Ukraine

Thing is if you're winning a war you dont need to negotiate.

This campaign is really not going well for Russia, the fact it takes about 3 hours to drive from the Belarussian border to Kyiv & the Russians are dumping Tanks due to lack of fuel after literal months and months of planning & moving things into position is Biden levels of Afghan exit, its horrifically bad how inept Russian logistics are.

just wonder what his plan in all this actually is, notwithstanding he is bonkers bit, he does seem quite intelligent, he and his advisors/military must have known what would happen if they went into Ukraine, is it to be mr big cohones to the west and get the bit of Ukraine he wants, which if the above is true seems to be the case.

Russian Military doctrine is blitzkrieg, it involves heavy use of artillery & cyber warfare which is followed by tanks rushing the target, im gonna call it and say, the British government acting fast & giving/selling Ukraine N-LAW anti tank weapons completely transformed this War & has caught the Russian advance by surprise, they dont really have a counter for it.

Fair play to the Tories and our military on this one.

This is the N-LAW

You'll find most Russian tanks all use an auto loading carousel - effectively the shells travel around the turret of the tank before auto loading into the gun.
Its an efficient design removing the need for a human loader but also a bit s*** because you have shells rotating around the crew and should anything pierce the armour of the turret you're likely to ignite the shells inside causing the turret to decapitate and end up somewhere down the road.

Its why you see so many Russian tanks blown up with the turret missing

Carousel can be seen here

as far as I have picked up from the various reports they haven't done the full tank army bit, the odd pictures of single tanks on fire, most of the stuff seems to be light land rover type vehicles which are very vulnerable. Its almost like they don't want to commit to the full armoured column bit.

Probably fortuitous. We got lucky given the attitudes regularly on display.

This is what I mean the N-Laws have completely changed the game, prior to this Ukraine had Anti Tank shells fired from your standard RPG launcher which are fine against softer targets like armoured cars/APC's but they bounce off Main Battle tanks.

I dont doubt Russia will push on & adapt but they are having a much harder time of it than expected.

I have seen a couple and did have a chuckle , I am honestly surprised I havent seen more videos of Babushka's hitting Russian soldiers with walking sticks.
The people out here are a different breed to the West, its a little bit wild east, a little Borat, a little of the old ways, some things make absolutely no sense then throw in a lot of heavy drinking, You'll get talking to a stranger and its not long before they pull out a bottle of home made Slivovice or Borovicka and two glasses magically appear out of nowhere, this happened to me last year whilst out picking mushrooms, The people here are so incredibly proud of who they are & of their countries despite mostly being poor as f***, this culture spans right across central/eastern Europe & why I call it home

They have been fighting clever letting the armour through and killing the logistics train. Eventually the tanks stop due to lack of fuel. They can only go 200m miles before running out of fuel then the are sitting ducks.
